A very sturdy and well made for a short person.

It’s heavy duty and heavy weight, not just house-grade. The legs have sturdy rubber non-slip feet, legs fold and unfold easily and are held in place by a sturdy mechanism that keeps it structurally it’s stable and tight (no wobble or looseness), there’s heavy duty ribbed non-slip rubber pad on top, folds down to several inches thick flat rectangle for easy storage…what else is there? No nonsense portable and foldable step stool, the height of a single stair, built to perform as advertised. If you have to butt-scoot up the stairs bc of recovering from a leg or foot or knee injury, or have keep weight or strenuous action off one side, you’ll need something like this as an extra stair at the top so you can pull yourself up. I bought it for that purpose, I’ve also used it to carry outside and place on the road in front of elevated vehicle doors like SUV and trucks so I can step up easier and the feet handle that easily. I like it!

This is just a nice, simple metal step stool for those of us who were born just a little too short for the world around us. It's a nice looking stool that wont stick out in your house, will fold down easily to fit in a jar or go with you on vacations, and generally help make life just that much easier!

I ordered this step stool to help me get up onto my high-mattress bed following hip surgery. The extra 7" or so that it "boosted" me, was a great help to me in getting the operated-on leg up into the bed each night. I appreciated that it was very sturdy, liked the handle for carrying, and it WAS easy to assemble. Folding was a bit "tight," but may loosen with more use. My one worry is that the legs can slip on my floor if I am not a bit cautious when stepping down on it from the bed. I plan to see if I can add felt or other type of furniture feet to prevent this.

We have a bed that is fairly high off the ground. Normally, getting into bed isn’t an issue (I just climb right in), but I’m pregnant right now and I’m my 2nd trimester it started to become very difficult and would put too much pressure/strain on my tummy. I was so close to getting our frame lowered, but my husband is 6’6” and that would just make things uncomfortable for him - So, I went with trying out this step stool and I am so glad I did! I just step right on it and then into bed. The part that you step on has traction on it so it’s not slippery and I feel safe. Plus, it’s very sturdy and hasn’t moved from where I originally placed it next to my side of the bed. I’ve had it for about 2 months now and it’s working like a dream ...I’ll probably still use it after pregnancy even it’s so great!

I am 5'1" (if I stretch), and have to get bottles and glasses off the top shelf by pushing them out with a long spoon or knife and playing catch as they fall. Finally, I have an easy to use stool that lifts me just high enough to reach what I need without hauling out the awkward foldout utility step ladder. That one is fine for painting near the ceiling, but too much trouble for grabbing a storage bottle on the top shelf. Or whatever I need beyond my reach. This short step stool was perfect, well made, sturdy. Bought two of them -- one to rest my feet on under the kitchen table (much better than old Amazon delivery boxes filled with National Geographics), and one to use in the kitchen.

I love it. It comes flat and I can carry it around using the strap. The legs are tucked underneath and I have to push a release button to pull each leg into its proper position, which makes it sturdy enough to hold my weight. It’s the perfect height to easily retrieve items that are otherwise out of my reach. I also got one for my dog who doesn’t like the large stair contraptions for pets. He’s an amputee and the ridged rubber pad on top makes him confident that he won’t slip, and it gives him the extra little boost that he needs to get up on the bed or in the car. It’s a win-win for the whole family.

I used this for stretching my calf muscles. You can collapse one side for stretching as seen in the photo. Well built
