Korean Illustrated Dictionary
I am a self studying Korean learner and I searched and read all reviews and decided upon this book for my first picture dictionary. I highly recommend this book if you are a beginner. It works well if you have a concept of Hangul or are learning. This book is good as it does include Romanization along with Hangul to help if you are just reading through or looking for a reference. It comes with an Audio Study Player (Mac and PC) and you can copy files and listen on the go as mp3. Very very helpful. You can look inside before you buy to see the contents. I definitely want more words and will look for another from this same author if there is a part 2. Great for visual learners.

좋아해요!
I ordered this and it gave me an estimate of a few weeks for my delivery. I was blown away that it came in 2 days on base shipping. I've never ordered anything online that has come so quickly without paying extra shipping. As far as the product goes, it appears to be exactly what I wanted. I was very skeptical at first because another poster on this website said they had found some mistranslated words. I spent about half an hour going page by page and comparing the translations with Daum and Naver dictionaries and so far I have found no errors at all. The reason I decided to purchase this product was the mp3 files that came along with it. I loaded it on my pc and smartphone and it works awesome and is very detailed and easy to navigate. I was a little bummed out that the disc doesn't work like a regular cd if you pop it in a cd player but that's my fault for not having an mp3 hook up in my car.

Very Informative!
I'm an adult, but as a non-native Korean speaker, I found this dictionary to be very helpful. The pictures are very well done and even humorous (like the picture of the dog taking a snooze with headphones on) while lying on the bedroom floor). I highly recommend this dictionary, very informative.

Excellent for young students
Worth every penny!Images are arranged by scene. Very helpful for the younger set, who enjoy learning new vocabulary visually. The logical association of items is a useful way of learning these relevant words.

Not very accurate of a resource
While this book is fun to look at, I tried using a few of the words used in it and was surprised to find that there were a good deal of them that were either inaccurate or outdated. For example, the word for "picture frame" was incorrectly translated as "painting".McGraw Hill is a really big company that doesn't really specialize in language education, so it makes sense that they're not exactly breaking their backs to make sure the book is completely accurate and relevant. The book, besides a few mistakes, is decent enough, but using the terms used in it with native speakers might make them confused because of the weird translation errors. I think I'd probably recommend buying resources written by Native speakers of Korean or people who have more experience with the language, rather than large publishers.Perhaps if you are still interested in buying it, you can, but don't count on everything being correct!
