Fresh Sugar Cane Sugarcane Saccharum Officinarum (5lb)

This is the 2nd order, both were healthy looking sugar cane, the first I took online advice, planted I think Nov 2025, cut the stalks into smaller pieces to plant. The ends rotted out due to moisture. 6 months they all died. This time I kept the stalks whole, dipped each end into beeswax to stop the rot and moisture from spreading before the stalk could take root.. that seems to work a lot better, one I pulled up after 2 weeks and has rooted with large healthy white roots .. They rooted better in this area planted late spring, in a raised bed with leaves mulch dirt, with ends sealed with beeswax and I had a few rooted in 2 weeks.

First of all having grown growing and eating sugarcane. I know it transporting of it affects freshness but quality not so much. This had neither worst quality tasted probably not mature. I have stored sugarcane for weeks but still had good taste . This was just bad quality. Just don't waste your money very unprofessional from the vendor . I would recommend Amazon to remove this person

Awesome quality. Adds great taste/sweetness to drinks. Love using it for infusions. Everyone thinks it's really cool.

When it arrived it was dried out and we threw it out.

So I bought sugar cane from Amazon. 🫢 And I wasn’t sure what to expect. But it is ok surprisingly I wished the pieces were bigger. But hey we can’t always get what we wished for Yeah! I think I would order from them again

Im going to give this 2 stars. It arrived a day early, I got 12 probably 6 inch pieces. I wouldn't say it was 5 pounds of cane sugar though, and 6 out of the 6 pieces were infected with mold or disease The other pieces were promising and already had roots and small sprouts. I wouldn't eat them in the condition their in, but they will be good for planting, and the new generation should be better. I wouldn't get these again, only because of the condition they were in, and the price for half isn't worth it ****Update**** As of 8/15/15 im changing my review to ONE star. This product was absolutely horrible. It turns out, my remaining 6 pieces of cane was also infected with Red Root Rot. I ended up calling amazon to complain. They were very kind about it and sent an email to the distributor and within 24-48 hours i received my money back, less the S&H. I DO NOT recommend this product to anyone, especially for the cost. Go to Ebay where they provide current pictures of the cane, for half the price. If you had a bad experience, i would also contact amazon and complain so you can get your money back. Maybe if enough people complain, they will stop sending infected, rotted, diseased Cane.

I forgot there is a sudden burst of flavor then nothing. You ispit out pulp.
