At this low price I was very skeptical but decided to try them anyhow. I was not disappointed. I just wanted something for my first aid kit because we live out in the boonies and I wanted to add this to my assessment kit, to help decide when it is time to make the long trek to a medical facility. I don’t think you are going to find a medical professional using these in most circumstances, but for the layperson who doesn’t want to spend a lot of money they will probably suit your needs. Mine came in a box, packaged in zip bags and needed assembly. It is pretty intuitive, but there were no instructions so if there were any little tricks to be missed, I probably missed them. Also, the description says there are extra ear pieces so you can choose the ones that best fit your ear canal but mine had none of these and I would not describe them as comfortable because the plastic is rather hard. I messed with them a bit, pulling the plastic closer to the end of the tubes and that helped a bit. Also, the metal part comes flat and you need to know that you should twist them into the V-shape so they go into the ear canal properly. They must be adjusted properly for comfort and effectiveness. Also, as mentioned in other reviews, the diaphragm is the type that twists, so if you can’t hear anything flip it around until it clicks; one direction gives good sound and the other doesn’t. It flips so you can using either the small side or the large one but must be in the correct position for the one you are using for good results. Quick tip: If you’ve never used a stethoscope before, do yourself a favor and check out some you tube vids. There are some good ones that will tell you how to adjust it for your use and go over the basics of placement points and how the “patient” should breath, etc. There are a few basics you can learn in around 10 minutes that will greatly improve your experience with this tool. So, at this price it is a great value, cheap enough to give kids a real working tool for their first doctor kit, and I think most people who want this kind of extra for their home medical kit would find it satisfactory as well. And I’m guessing the people who say it doesn’t work are people who don’t know how to properly adjust and use the tool.

Just bought it for fun! It does works. My next door neighbor and i share the same bedroom wall,and i was told that she had a leakage in between the walls. And to be on the safe side i just got myself one of these. And so it happened! I too have a leakage. Didn’t even noticed the drops dripping. And no water mark stain appeared at all. Technically! It was a recipe for disaster waiting to happen. And my curiosity helped the fact. But! Maybe because i have a dinosaur head,the ear bud part felt really uncomfortable though. But i do have a dinosaur head!

I knew this was probably going to be cheap as the price but never tought it was full on a kid sized toy or a prop. Review are confusing because it has high stars, but is due to parents who purchased it as a toy. The ones who convinced me to get it was one whelp said they were a medical student. I know no good professor would tale.this seriously so I am worried if any nurse student is using these. I wanted it to monitor my dogs heart as he has a heart murmur and gets syncope episodes. I need to see if his heart rate is dropping or increasing during that episode. Also to see if the meds are doing their job. However this apparatus has tons of interference and if you use it like you should, no one has a heart beat. But you can hear all other sounds so its good if you want to hear gossip. If you use it backwards and put the metal part on the heart, then you can faintly hear something. On my dog with the murmur it is better as his heart beat is very loud, however there is too much interference to keep me concentrated and I need to count his heart beats per minute. My nephews, 3 and 6 year olds are having a blast pretending they can hear hearts. Save your money. This is not even good to measure Blood pressure. If you need it for a patient or a si lck doggie, then get a better one.

Simple pero funciona

For a child who loves the color purple and stethoscopes this was a great gift. So far it's been played with and has kept its durability with no issues. It actually functions and looks like a doctor's stethoscope, it's not a flimsy plastic toy. Highly recommend!

you can barely hear the heartbeat you have to consistently move it around press it friendly. I’m not quite happy with it, but I can still hear the heartbeat eventually once I move around so I guess I will keep it although the heartbeat is quite faint. It’s still there.

Bought this for a cosplay, it was easy to assemble and looks like the real deal! That being said, it simply does not work as a real stethoscope. The ear pieces are a little tight, but you can SLOWLY AND GENTLY stretch the curved metal piece open further after assembly for a looser fit, so that's not too big of a deal. Again, I would not buy this if you plan to use it for actual medical training/work. Stick with brands like Littman if you want something that works, I know they're WAY more expensive but you get what you pay for!

This is a great buy for a simple stethoscope for high school students who are taking medical courses. The only problem was Amazon delivery throwing the package on the ground at the entrance to my driveway 1/4 mile from my house. They have to at least try to be more professional like FedEx or UPS if they want more orders from me.

Perfect replacement for my lost stethoscope. Glad I found it on Amazon. Now I can use my own instead of having to borrow one when in the hospital.

Absolute garbage, completely unusable as it is so cheap, you can't hear anything through it.
