The Asheville Celtic Mandolin Collection: Standard Notation, Tablature and Chords for the Celtic Mandolin

Full of dozens of fun to play Celtic classics with notation and tablature that range in difficulty from easy to intermediate, this book is a wonderful resource for anyone looking to start playing Celtic music on the mandolin. The guitar tabs are also a nice added bonus for any guitarists. My only complaints with this book would be that the binding is quite stiff on arrival, making it difficult to place on a music stand (I had to squash my copy beneath a bunch of heavier books to get it to stay open). The tablature is also on the small side, but I found them to still be quite readable, though I could definitely see someone with worse eyesight than myself struggling with it.

Great music. I was happy to add several of these pieces to my line up, however, the print is too small.

Nice, straightforward arrangements and a good selection of tunes. If you want to use the tab though a magnifying glass would help. About the smallest tab I've ever seen although the notation is fine.

Big, bold printing of sheet music - not often the case in music books. Great selection of Celtic pieces, too.

I like that it is written in standard notation as well as in tabs, but the print is so very tiny, it is very hard to read either.

bon petit songbook, les arrangements et le choix des pieces ne sont pas toujours du meilleur gout, mais il y a quand meme bien matiere a s'amuser.a peu pres la moitié des arrangements son aussi arrangé pour guitare (standard et DADGAD).il manque quand meme un CD ou des fichiers audio telechargeable, surtout en sachant quand toutes ces partitions sont disponible gratuitement sur le site de l'auteur
