can this thermometer be calibrated?

Hi, The Escali Gourmet Digital Thermometers cannot be recalibrated, but they should not need to be as they are pre-calibrated from our factory. Is this dishwasher safe?

The DH1 thermometer is not dishwasher safe. If you are looking for one that is, I'd suggest the Escali DHP3 waterproof thermometer.

Can this thermometer be placed inside the oven during an entire cook if the oven is at 325?

No, this thermometer should not stay in the oven while cooking

Is this for deep oil as well?

Thank you for your question. The DH1-B Gourmet Thermometer is not designed to be fully submerged into oil, however, the stainless steel probe can be used to gather temperature readings up to 392˚F in deep fry oil.
