Great product! So, I did quite a bit of research before purchasing as there are SO many marble run options online. This one has to be one of the best. First off, its huge! Be aware, a lot of the ones advertised are much smaller, but they don’t show any scale in the photos and are actually quite small. This one is a really nice, large size and provides a lot of time for the marbles to make their runs. There are lots of obstacles and twists and turns and stairs, etc. to keep a kid entertained. The pieces are super well made (a la 1980 plastic quality vs 2000’s). The pieces fit together very snuggly. I bought this for my four year old. There’s a zero percent chance should could have assembled this herself. I pride myself on my building skills (can build IKEA furniture in half the time of most people). It was not difficult to build, but the directions are entirely visual (no words), so those with good visual-spacial abilities will have a much easier time. Took us about 15 minutes to build completely (with my 4 y/o wanting to be the only one who assembles it while I instruct her on where to place the pieces. I am very glad I bought this unit and not any of the other 15+ I was considering. This was hands down the best value and highest quality for price paid of any of the other options. I’ve included a photo of my daughter playing with it to give you a good idea of its size. (She’s a very tall 4y/o). She is someone that can get bored with things easily, and she has been playing with it nonstop for 30 minutes now. My original thought was I wanted her to build her own runs and learn how the different pieces can work together, but it looks like we will be sticking with the predesigned layout for a while.i thought this would be a great STEM exercise for her. I’m all about girls being interested in building and not just dolls. I suspect she might get frustrated trying to build runs on her own, so that is possibly 6 months to a year away. The reason for not giving this 5 stars for stability and sturdiness and ease of assembly is due at no fault to the designers of the toy. It’s due entirely to the nature of the toy itself. I suspect it is probably the most stable of any of them on the market with a similar design. Highly recommend!!

My 4 1/2 year old grandson LOVES this and so do I! Highly recommend-I caught it on sale. Very sturdy and not too hard to assemble the 150 piece set. Several hours of fun over the past 2 days! I removed 1 star only because I could not get app to work. I was hoping for access to give me more ideas on the multiple ways it can be assembled. We want to build out all the options! I’m glad I didn’t spend $70-80 or more on a more expensive set-this one is perfect and just the right size. I’ll keep it set up for a long time I believe!

First off, let's talk about the product itself. This marble run is perfect. The pieces fit together exactly as I would want them to do so: not too tight and not too loose. They stay together snugly enough so that nothing comes apart unintentionally and at the same time my 2 year old can pull the components apart with no problems when she is building something. Of course as you build your marble run up higher and higher you do have to support the different parts you've built with support legs. That's just physics. You have to support what you've built or gravity is going to take it out of commission. My kids and I opened this maze up last Friday morning and we literally spent the entire day playing with it without watching any TV. That's how much fun this marble run is. Also, we had so much fun that it quickly became clear to me that this was a toy we would be playing with for a long time to come so I quickly went and ordered some booster packs such as the bases, the sky high circles, and the Marble Genius booster set. This brings us to my comment on customer service. The one additional part that I really wanted to buy was the Tubes! Tubes! Tubes! booster set which contains extra of the straight tube pieces. Like I said previously, it becomes pretty obvious to you very quickly that if you want to build a very tall marble run that you will need a lot of the straight tube pieces so that you can build up support for the components at the top of the marble run. Unfortunately, I scoured the Internet and couldn't find the tubes set anywhere at all. I went to the Marble Genius website and found the "Contact Us" link and I sent an e-mail to the company where all I did was just simply ask when they thought that the Tubes! Tubes! Tubes! set would likely be in back in stock again. Within 15 minutes of that e-mail (on a Friday night mind you), I got a reply from Jeff who told me to give him my address and that he was going to send me out some free tubes to help me out. Three days later, I received a shipment from Amazon which included a Marble Genius Starter Set for free to help me out with my tubes dilemma. My kids and I quickly opened it up and added it to the Super Set that we already had building a tower that was all the way up to my head six feet off the ground. If that's not just the greatest customer service on the face of this Earth then I don't know what is. Buy this product confidently and know that you are going to get a great product that will be backed by perfect customer service if for some reason you have any issue at all with anything related to this product.

This is the PERFECT gift for 3-10 year olds! Our grandsons played for HOURS, creating and re-creating structures for the marbles to run! Not only is it a STEM set, but they are also learning with prior experience, trial-and-error, and having a BLAST doing it!

Bought this set as a supplement to the Marbulous Marble Run - 82 Pieces + 50 Marbles (Total 132 Pc Set) Sturdy Setups with Clear Step-by-step Illustrated Instructions in Four Different Skills Levels With Reusable Plastic Bucket that we bought for our son Christmas of 2015. Shortly after Christmas he used gift money for a translucent set to get more pieces. These marble runs are very popular with the kids, and adults and opened up a new collection of marbles, of which we now have around 1500. I bought this particular set because we wanted more, and different, "stunt" pieces. I plan to give more pieces a few at a time as incentives. This set fits the Edushape Marbulous Marble Runs and I would probably recommend this one for a first set. Not that we are unhappy with the first 2, but this set offers more and different "stunts" and all of the pieces are building pieces, not just ornamental. Specifically, we like: The translucent pieces make it easier to track the marbles as they go through the run. The additional stunt pieces make it possible to have more involved and complex runs. Many that don't come in smaller sets There are 3 or 4 large base or reservoirs to catch the marbles at the bottom. Kids love to see how many marbles they can have going at once. These extra bases will keep the marbles from piling up too fast. However, they aren't as deep as they appeared in the pictures. These are great interactive toys. If you are getting a set I recommend you also have a large plastic tub to keep them altogether, lots of additional and more colorful marbles (5/8ths "target" marbles and "pee wees" work ), clear plastic containers/jars to keep the marbles in. Glass jars are great for decorative purposes, but pouring glass marbles into them can and will chip marbles and break the glass container. Unlike many reviews I have been reading all over Amazon, I'm not getting anything for my review. No freebies, no discounts. Just think these are great toys.

I grew up with a marble set in the 80s and was so excited to buy a set for my kids. I narrowed the choice down to three brands here on amazon and ultimately chose this set. Without testing any, this seemed like it had the best variety and the most amount of pieces. After playing with it (And my kids too, of course), I am happy with the variety of runs and more importantly, as a parent, they are very sturdy and would take a lot of break. It's a massive complete set and has everything you would want. I only have two minor complaints, which are not strong enough to deter anyone from buying this set. First is that $70 is a high price to pay for this set, albeit my complete satisfaction. $50 would be a steal and $70 seems a little too high. I have noticed the price vary since i purchased it for $70. My second complaint would be that the set doesn't have enough feet/legs. You can see the wild run made in the listing picture - you can notice that it is entirely supported by 2 towers of "leg" pieces, and the runs go back and forth from the support beams/towers. I'd really like to expand this horizontally and not be forced to build up, especially being forced to go back/forth so often. Again, two minor complaints. There are cheaper sets which I will probably buy down the road to expand this one. My kids (and myself) absolutely love this set. It's very large so there are always new options of routes to try. The feet (end of the run) is a nice pot that collects the marbles. The transparent tubes are a lot of run and again, very sturdy - didn't think I'd get those two together. If you are looking for a large marble run set, this is a fantastic set and I am extremely glad I purchased it and look forward to being a toy for my kids the next 10+ years.
