My favorite recipe for salmon and sweet potato pecan pie. Great gift!

LaDonna Gundersen's Salmon recipes, presented with Ole's photography, are truly inspiring. I've tried several recipes from this book, namely the Delicious Salmon, Corn, and Potato Chowder; Delightful Salmon Breakfast Quiche; Mushroom, Salmon, and Wild Rice Soup; Seared Salmon with Rice Pilaf; and several others that I don't have time right now to list! ALL were delicious and easy to prepare...Easy for me especially, since I have a nice, full sized kitchen. I also purchased LaDonna's book, "My Tiny Alaskan Oven." I have to say, both books have been tremendously inspiring and helpful for me, in figuring out different and interesting ways to prepare delicious meals with the salmon and halibut that my husband and son bring home from Alaska.

I originally was looking for a few Alaskan cookbooks to send down South with some of the fish I caught this season for friends and family. After trying some of these recipes, however, the books by this author never made it down there. I am keeping them all as they really are amazingly delicious and easy to follow. Fun to read and high quality outcomes with the recipes-- these are keepers

Mrs. Gundersen explains things so well and you can tell she loves cooking all the wonderful foods she prepares on the boat she and her husband use for fishing in Alaska. Very well written recipes that all sound so good, it made me want to go fishing for those fresh salmon and start cooking right away. The book is loaded with great Alaska photos too. I love it!

Great recipes, have not tried them all but have tried probably about 10-12. Great food, excellent writing.Helped my wife and I quite a bit with our cooking since moving to Alaska as well. Plus the "salmon identifier/page section" probably made the whole book worth the purchase just by itself.If she does another, I'd probably consider buying that too.

I purchased this cookbook while visiting in Alaska this summer. I loved the recipes so much I purchased the book here on Amazon and gave it to many family members for Christmas.

we cook salmon regularly. This is a great addition to our repertoire. The recepies are well written, clear and bring out the best in salmon.

Just Fab as her other books I have all of them and I am a great cook but these inspired me. Clean ingredients!!
