Wheedle on the Needle: (Classic Children's Books)

I bought used and this book is in great condition! Just a few minor scratches on the front but you can hardly see them. No it’s not the original book style but it’s the same story and pictures!

All of the serendipity books are an excellent, I might even say required, addition to a childs library. The pictures are fun, the storys interesting and easy to read, and the moral clear to the reader at the end. These books have good lessons, they don't beat you over the head with the authoris ideals.Weedle on the Needle is my favorite of the series. It was read to me by my mother, I've read it to my children, and I hope to read it to my grandchildren one day. I have also gifted it to people. The fanciful characters are set in a real place, one you can visit either online or in person, and this story resonates with me personally.Give it a read, it's worth it.

I grew up in Seattle and loved this book years ago. I recently went back and decided to order this book for my boss’ kids. They loved the story too!

Was told by many of my friends who grew up in Seattle that this was a classic, and if I liked Larry Gets Lost in Seattle, that I would like this one. Cute little story book, I think it has to be one of those 206 connections to make someone feel sentimental about it. I just didn't connect to the wheedle very much and my silblings thought it was nice but don't continue to read it like they do some of the other books (like Larry Gets Lost).

The first time I became aware of Wheedle on the Needle, I was in a bookstore in Seattle. It was such a cute book, I stood there and read the whole thing from cover to cover and then bought it. My girls were small at the time and I was sure it was going to be a favorite of theirs. And it is. They are now grown, with families of their own and I was fortunate enough to get a copy for each one and I gave it to them for Christmas. They still love the story, even more so now because they don't live near Seattle, and their kids are crazy for the Wheedle.

This anniversary copy is not the size or cover of the original, but nice nevertheless. I just do not want to mark it as "I love it" the 5 stars represent, because I was a little disappointed with the size not fitting in with the others I was able to find. The book is a special edition, with a dust cover not on the original, but the story is the same and the character just as loveable.

MY FAVORITE CHILDHOOD SERIES!!! Sooo happy to have them again after loosing them as a child during moves!!! Love the morals/ethics it teaches!!! This one is cute because he lives in Washington!

Great customer service, great quality and great book! My kids now know what is on top of the Space Needle. 🙂

The actual story is great like every Stephen Cosgrove book, but the "slight stains" as described were mold stains, the book smelled musty and made my child and me sick, after throwing the book out we immediately got better. After this incident, as someone with a severe mold allergy, I will no longer purchase used books online. Lesson learned.

Wonderful story, beautifully illustrated.An excellent souvenir without the faff of having to carry it around for the rest of our trip!

Its a time honored classic of the Pacific North West, a bit long winded with references that you may not get if you're not from the Seattle area, but its still a great read for the little ones.
