Barely made it through the 18-month warranty period.
The good: the battery was a working replacement for the original Dell battery (which had swollen up preventing the touchpad buttons from working) on my Dell Inspiron M3800 laptop. It wasn't a perfect fit but could be made to work by filing one of the mounting holes to be a little bit wider on one side.The bad: it suffered the same problem as the original Dell battery, swelling up and preventing the touchpad buttons from working (also a dangerous condition to leave a failing lithium battery in a device). Although it failed within the 18-month warranty period, it was a few days outside the warranty by the time I removed it from the laptop so I'm out of luck for warranty claim. At least it lasted a year and a half. Seems to be a problem with these Dell laptops that it costs about $50/year to keep replacing batteries. Perhaps you'll have better luck with yours. I've now got another battery installed and keeping an eye on it. This time I'll have a calendar reminder to note when the warranty is about to expire!
