Q: What waist size is 2X big, 3X big, ... The size chart listed didn't have these sizes explained?

The 2x would probably fit a 38 in to 42 in waist comfortably and a 3x 44in to a 48in waist. I ordered my fiancé a 4x because he's usually gets 5x in order to have breathing room down there. His fit perfectly and he had extra room. I only saw other complaints about the mesh inside but it didn't bother him at all. I hope this helped.

Yes there is a draw string on the waist. Also,waist has elastic. Note, I ordered up one size and they fit fine.

Q: What’s the difference between 2x and xxl?

I didn’t care for the fit of this pair. I’m 237, 6’3”. Tall with athletic build. These shorts sit odd in the seat. As to the difference with 2x vs. xxl...? I sent these back.

Q: What is the best sise for a 37 inch waist?

I bought an XL. My waist is 40 and they fit well. I love these trunks, I'm on my second pair.
