Consistent Quality and Great Taste
This is actually my second time buying this variety pack, which says a lot because we usually like trying different coffee brands. My wife and I both enjoy having different flavors to choose from, and it's nice having a mix of roast colors, from lighter to darker options depending on the time of day. The different caffeine levels are also a plus since we can choose something stronger in the morning or a milder espresso later in the day. The pods are fully compatible with our Nespresso Original machine and have worked flawlessly. Every pod brews smoothly with a nice crema, and the coffee has a rich, balanced taste without being bitter. The assortment is generous with 120 pods, so it lasts quite a while and offers excellent value for the money. We've been very happy with both purchases and will definitely keep buying this variety pack.

Budget priced Nespresso that you'll love!
You're reading these reviews because you want to find a more affordable option to the actual Nespresso brand capsules. Who can blame you? The real ones made by Nespresso cost between 70¢ and $1. If you ask me, that's pretty expensive for a cup of coffee you make at home! Here's the longer story, done (slightly) shorter... If you've ever tasted a Nespresso Kazaar capsule, you've tasted the single most delicious cup of espresso that you're likely to ever have - AT HOME. If you think you're likely to replicate that with any other brand, I wish you the best of luck and happy hunting. Fact is, the Nespresso capsules have achieved something that none of the rest have been able to replicate - YET. Smoothness and richness of flavor without that burnt, over-roasted taste that you so often find with many espresso blends. I can tell you without any hesitation, if you've never had a Nespresso capsule, you will think these taste AMAZING. But this isn't a Nespresso capsule review, it's a Bestpresso review for the 01, 02, 03, 04, 06 & 07 capsules. There are very minor differences in all 6 of these roasts, but one thing remains constant throughout all of them. There is a pervasive over-roasted flavor, that I'm assuming is there to give you the impression of a more sophisticated blend. I can assure you that you will not mistake these for a ripoff of the Nespresso branded coffees. I can however tell you, the differences between the blends are so minor, that you may not be able to distinguish one from the other. With all of that said, I have brewed the Bestpresso espresso capsules with the proper amount of water, the lungo capsules with the proper amount of water and the ristretto using the Nespresso recommended 15 second brew-time. I can tell you without any hesitation that there is an AMAZING crema on every single blend. I can tell you without any hesitation that every capsule I've used (over 20 at this point) has brewed consistently, producing the same quantity of coffee each and every time. I've had no stuck capsules, no false starts, no under-pours either. If you are looking for a budget friendly, fresh cup of espresso, that not only tastes great but also gives you a great buzz, you will love this coffee! For completeness, I am using a 2017 model Nespresso Inissia by DeLonghi - AND I LOVE IT! I came from an unsatisfying Keurig 2.0 environment and can't even THINK about having another cup made by that thing. I can tell you with a high level of certainty, the bad reviews for Bestpresso capsules were more than likely made by coffee-snobs or serious connoisseurs of gourmet coffees. Those people should stick with the $3,000 double-boiler machines. If all you want is an excellent cup of espresso, and you're not out to compare every sip with every other type/brand of coffee in the known universe, Bestpresso's Gourmet Coffee Capsules will make you very happy! I will definitely be buying these again... Happy Sipping! ^_^ UPDATE: I've now been through more than 90 capsules and I can assure you that every single cup you make will be as fresh, aromatic and correct sized as the first! The other thing that I want to go on record as saying, is I've been through the 16-pack of samples that Nespresso gives you when you purchase the Nespresso and only 3 of them were EXCELLENT. The other 13 all had a bitter-Starbucks type of flavor. If you don't like the bitterness in Starbucks coffee, you'll love the Bestpresso capsules. With that said, the Arabica blend (#03) is the only one with ANY bitterness and it's very minor. I still stand by my original review 100% and will continue to buy these as long as the price is right! :)

Good variety
The coffee is delicious! Pods work in my Nespresso machine. Good value.

Replaces Discontinued L'or Pods
These pods are pretty good. If you are going to compare them to the originl L'or pods, they are not quite as good. Those are primo. However, these are reasonably tasty. I prefer the coffee size pods for my L'or. With these, I use the large setting and it makes a "cup of coffee". Each variety has a strength rating and they each have different flavors, so you may want to experiment. The price on a lightning deal is amazing. I love that I can still get a good cup of coffee with my L'or machine.

I'm pretty bad at all of my hobbies obviously
I would consider myself a hobbyist. Gardener, philosopher, foodie, chicken keeper, baker, psychology, singer/songwriter, gamer, I thought, why not add coffee snob to my list? I'm pretty bad at all of my hobbies obviously, as Chris Rock eluded to in that one movie, "I don't want to get too good at any one thing." Still, it's fun, and the money and time wasted I consider gambling, which I emphatically don't do. Didn't like coffee for 38 years. Drank Folders and the errant gas station coffee for about 5 years. Decided that if I was going to have that one, solitary, cup of coffee a day it could be decent. Bought aeropress 2 years ago after a broken $50 mr. coffee went out. Used it every day and loved it, increased coffee consumption to sometimes 2 cups a day, always "americano." Stopped drinking alcohol recently because of the price (I didn't mention, I'm cheap, so all of my hobbies are doomed from the start). Decided to spend $100 on a coffee machine that makes the world's most expensive coffee. Of course because of the seal pod hack. Along with another $100 on cheap but well made barista swag. (burr grinder, you know the one, $40 milk freaking whipper that has a steep learning curve if you want to make a heart in a cup of espresso, fancy little metal milk pourer for said heart in small cappuccino cup) Well, I'm already sick of making the the little seal pods. While this is the hobby part, I'm still sub par, while I like what I can make, I still don't love what I can make, yet, I still HAVE to MAKE it. Enter in the next best option after saddled with the corporate overlords $100, $280, 19 bar (does that even mean anything?) espresso machine. My current gamble, coming in at less than half the price (that means I can drink twice as much ! AMERICA!) this product here that I'm reviewing to you. Now, I know what you're thinking, this guy weaves a tale so marvelously that he must be a paid professional, but I implore you, hear me, nay I'm not! I'm just a simple hobbyist with an emerging caffeine addiction (I always though the tobacco would have hooked me, yuck, don't smoke old people reading about off brand "Italian" style espresso shots). My 100% honest opinion? I'm starting from the weakest and updating my review during my quest. 3 shots into the Arabica (sip and smell plain, 1 latte, 2 mini 3 oz cappuccinos) These are already worth the $30. Easily 3 $10 drinks on their own. I am not a traveled person and grew up in one of those midwestern states. I've been to the mermaid about 4 times in my life, and two local coffee shops, but I only get "a cup of coffee." The drinks made with the inissia and these pods are what I imagine the people in the movies are drinking. Tried the freebie pods, they were great, I drank my concoctions they were pretty darn good bordering on great, and these are great, and, in my cornfed mind, superior. Is it the price? Is it coming from seal pod? Don't care, my taste buds are saying the weakest pods included in this pack is the best coffee (so far) I've ever had. That is totally worth a dollar. A bonus, I think they got here in a day? I live in the country, and am a Prime member, everything takes two days as you would expect.

Disappointing, but a Good Coffee for Latte Drinkers
I bought these pods to try on sale at less than $0.25 per capsule, which is an admittedly incredible price point. Regarding the capsules themselves, they ran great through my Inissia machine, creating a good crema with no flow or piercing issues. I should preface my review of the flavor by noting that I prefer to drink my espresso straight, sometimes with a bit of sweetener. Under those conditions, the overall taste of each flavor was not great. I found all of them to taste mostly the same - over-roasted with a rather aggressive bitterness. The aroma tended to have a kind of roasted peanut note to it, which would have been nice to taste in the final brew, but there really isn't much else to them that I could find other than their bitterness. With that said, I wanted to give the coffee a fair shot by making a latte to see if some (almond) milk would make a more agreeable drink. That plus a little sugar went a long way in improving the flavor. In a latte, I would say this coffee makes a decent - if slightly underwhelming - cup of coffee. I used 1oz shots to taste straight, and two 1.5oz shots to make the latte (3oz coffee to 4oz almond milk). Overall, I'd say that these are a good choice if you're looking for a low-cost capsule to make into a latte or cappuccino. I personally will bring them into the office for everyone to share (who's going to turn down free coffee?). Otherwise, if you're looking for an affordable capsule for drinking straight or just better flavor overall, I'd recommend trying the Lavazza brand capsules at a slightly higher (but still reasonable) price.

Love it!
I’ve been really impressed with these Bestpresso Intenso capsules. The flavor is bold and rich without being bitter, and the aroma feels like a true Italian espresso experience. The crema comes out smooth and thick, and the intensity is perfect for a strong morning boost. They work great in my Nespresso machine and deliver consistent results every time. For the price and quality, this is an excellent alternative to the original brand. Definitely a great choice if you enjoy a deep, full-bodied coffee.

BEWARE, If you don't love all 6 blends, the price is not so cheap. 5 of 6 didn't work for me
I have to first say that the pods worked perfectly, the same as a Nespresso pod. I have the new Mini Nespresso machine. All worked with no problems at all. So it comes down to taste and price. I would have given them 1 star, but to be fair, this fact is very important in that the product holds up as specified in their description. Buuuut.... I didn't like 5 of the 6 blends! And I really, REALLY wanted to! After trying 3 different blends, I realized that this was not going to work probably, even if I disliked 2 of the first 3 and loved all the rest. (I did the math on only using 4 of 6 boxes!) I kept on to see if I may find a few I liked, to then go find those blends to order. I poured most out because I couldn't even stand a whole cup. Dang! I could only find one I liked enough to drink the whole cup even! The reason we all come to this vendor to buy is the cheaper price, compared to the original. That only works if you love ALL of them. Or you want to test then order the ones you love most. You can buy individual blends. You have to look hard for that though. They are $59.99 for 120. ($.42 each) and only come in 120 package orders. So don't bother if this is out of your budget to order at a time. What did I like? The flavor I personally like best was Ristretto. Most of the flavors tasted stale to me. Espresso is fairly good also. A few were just aweful! The Arabica and Lungo were super weak. I thought the Verona had a bitter flavor. Again, all personal preference. Many tasted stale to me. Theones that were weak, I guess you could make a tiny cup of those? NOTE: When you open the box, you can smell the coffee (yum!). You can smell it even more when you open the pouch inside. That means that the coffee is exposed to the air and can oxidize somehow. Not good for coffee! I think this is partly why the original pricey pods work so well. They are enclosed better. I don't know if putting them in a plastic bag will help. Bottom line: know when you buy this variety pack to try, you are possibly not going to like many blends. Like many reviewers felt, some are just plain awful! But if you can find one that you like, and paying $60 at once isn't a problem, then you can order the 120. On the bright side, if you can find at least 3 you like, then you are still a bit under the original Nespresso prices in this variety pack. Bummed this didn't work. Think I am back to try to make my own pods. BTW, I tried the stainless steel refillable one. Didn't work well at all. I have used the Capsul refillable a few years ago. It took some testing to make it work. But at least I can use my all-time favorite regular Papua coffee that is low acid and super smooth! I buy it from Food Alchemy. No allifiation. Love the product and company! But its not pods, just regular coffee.

A Game-Changer for Espresso Lovers!
After experimenting with multiple third-party pods over the past couple of years, I can confidently say that Bestpresso Coffee is by far one of the best off-brand options I've come across. I've tried everything from budget-friendly options to premium Nespresso pods, and this variety pack stands out for its value, quality, and consistency. First off, the price is unbeatable. These pods come in at a fraction of the cost of Nespresso's branded pods but still deliver a genuine espresso experience that's rich, smooth, and satisfying. The fact that I can enjoy a high-quality cup of coffee at such a great price is a huge win in my book. The pod quality is impressive as well—no issues with construction or compatibility with my Nespresso Original machine. Some third-party pods can be hit or miss, but so far, these have been flawless. Occasionally, the flow is a bit slower than expected, but the end result is always worth the wait, delivering a delicious, full-bodied espresso. What really makes this variety pack shine, though, is the flavor. All six varieties in the pack are delicious, and honestly, I prefer some of them to certain Nespresso offerings. While taste is subjective, the range of flavors here—each well-balanced and rich—makes it a competitive alternative to the more expensive options. If you’re someone who loves a bit of variety in their coffee, you won’t be disappointed. To sum up, if you're looking for a high-quality, affordable alternative to Nespresso pods, look no further than Bestpresso. The blend of value, taste, and build quality has made me a loyal customer, and I’m already planning my next order to stock up. Highly recommend!

Great alternative to brand capsules
Great packaging. Yummy. Some capsules bend inside the machines for no reason but it’s worth the price overall.
