Nice wood case and sleek modern profile. A little pricier than what it replaced on the bedside table but a big improvement. Love that it stays fully dark at night unless you hit the backlight button.

Stylish piece of junk. I bought this in August 2019 and by early November it had malfunctioned. The alarm goes off and rings 16 times very early even when alarm function is off! This happened after I set it for an early appointment one morning. I tried moving the hands through a cycle, taking the battery out and resetting but it is still malfunctioning. I reached out to the company for advice and have had no reply for 8 days. I am hoping to return it but will probably be “out of the window”.I thought I would have something that would last but am stuck with a lemon by Lemnos. I may as well throw this clock out of the window. It still tells time and the alarm does work, but I can’t get rid of the early “ghost”alarm every morning for 16 rings so that is extremely annoying. This did not come with any directions in English but clock seemed very straightforward- if this has happened to anyone else and any advice including from the company would be appreciated. I’m trying to keep things out of the landfill. By the way I didn’t drop or mishandle the clock and loved it for 3 months.Copy of my original email to company through Amazon is below-no reply so far after more than 8 days and policy is reply within 2 daysI am very disappointed that the clock is already malfunctioning after less than 4 months. I love the design but at the price paid for the clock I am very upset. The problem is that I set the wake up alarm very early for one day and then after setting it back to my usual wake up time it continues to go off at the earlier time. I tried turning the hands through a cycle to reset but it happened again this morning! I hit the snooze button then it did not ring until the later time set. Have others encountered this problem? Any advice? I did not receive directions in English with the clock but it seemed obvious and was working well for the first few months. I have not dropped it or mishandled it in any way. If the earlier alarm ringing persists I will have to stop using it as an alarm clock since this is disrupting my sleep. I will have to request a replacement or refund if it is defective. I bought this to replace my iPhone alarm and to distance myself from internet temptations when I couldn't sleep. It didn't work. The clock is attractive but the stepped-up alarm volume every few seconds makes it irritatingly loud after about 6 seconds. The initial low volume is sufficient to wake me up without becoming irritating. I also did not like the 3-minute snooze cycle -- what's the point? -- much preferring the iPhone's 9-minute cycle. So now I use the Lemnos Riki as a clock and my iPhone again as my alarm.

My clock seems to have a slight flaw on the face (a small black blob on the perimeter that looks out of place.) Packaging does not include contact info to ask a question about this. I could not open the battery compartment but plan to take clock to a hardware store for help or appropriate tool to buy.

This is a nice looking alarm clock - which is rare!PROS+ easy to read in lighted situation+ straightforward to operate+ does the jobCONS- button on top illuminates face (great idea!), but hand blocks the face of clock while pressing button (from bed). design would be better with a slight delay before the light turns off- alarm sound is awful, standard alarm clock sound. I long for the day when alarm clock reviews actually include the sound an alarm clock makes AND further, for alarm sounds to be improved from dramatic loud honking noises.

This clock is very nice quality. The face numbers are large enough to see from across the room and I love that it is extremely quiet - if you hold it up to your ear, you can hear it running, but as a bedside clock it is totally silent. Very nice to have a button on top to illuminate when you want (rather than glowing all night). Gave it only 4 stars because it came with a dent in it. So small that I'm not bothering to return it, however for an expensive clock, there should be better quality control from the seller.

Not too big. Not too small. I can read it at the foot of my bed or find it easily on my bed stand. White face with legible black numerals (nice font). NO ticking or grinding noises. The battery DOES fit properly. Again, no problem. There IS instructions included, well written. The light is excellent. It is a tiny bulb that projects a few millimeters over the clock face. More effective than back lighting and not overly bright. The alarm progresses from quiet to loud with auto shut off after 5 minutes. YES, it is expensive and takes a while to arrive. I think it is worth every dollar.

I tried two other alarm clocks, but both were plastic and had such bright displays, it as like trying to sleep with a light on in the room, and both had multiple function buttons that made it hard to set the functions. This clock is nice looking; wood, not plastic. The face is not backlit unless you press the button on top, so I can sleep. There is one knob on the back to set the time and another to set the alarm. There is an off/on switch for the alarm. Simple. I read a review that said the knobs to set the time and alarm were so small the reviewer couldn't manage them, but I didn't have any trouble. This is just what I wanted.

The battery cover is hard to get off with a screwdriver . I’m taking it to a jewellery store to see if they can remove it. I’m surprised Wirecutter recommends this clock.

I ordered this clock to have a quiet analog clock in my bedroom (all screens sleep elsewhere!)Beautiful design. I haven’t used the alarm yet, but hopeful it will be a gentle tone. The light is a nice touch.A bit expensive, but it was exactly what I wanted and was delivered faster than anticipated.

Den Wecker habe ich mir vor 9 Monaten gekauft und bin sehr zufrieden. Er ist absolut zuverlässig und gibt keine Tick-Geräusche von sich. ich freue mich immer noch jeden Abend über das schöne Design der Vorderseite.Auf der Rückseite kann die Weckfunktion über einen kleinen Schiebeschalter aktiviert und deaktiviert werden. Die Schalter sind leider klein und liegen dicht zusammen, so dass ich den Wecker immer erst umdrehen muss, um den richtigen zu erwischen. Zudem hat der kleine Hebel für die Weckfunktion die gleiche Oberfläche wie die beiden anderen Drehschalterchen, mit denen die Uhrzeit und die Weckzeit eingestellt werden können. Das ist ein Nachteil, für den ich eigentlich einen Punkt abziehen müsste.Ein weiterer Nachteil ist der grässliche, nervtötende Piep-piep-piep-Weckton. Für 70 Euro wäre doch sich noch ein melodischerer Klag drin gewesen, oder?Klingt der Wecker so unsanft, kann man die Snooze-Funktion aktivieren, indem man den runten Knopf oben drückt, mit dem man auch ein kleines Lichtchen im Wecker einschalten kann, wenn man im Dunklen die Uhrzeit ablesen möchte.In dieser Preisklasse kann man mehr Raffinesse erwarten. Doch der Wecker bietet nur eine schöne Front und ein lautloses Uhrwerk. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt nicht, meiner Ansicht nach. Da mir das Design der Vorderseite so gut gefällt, vergebe ich trotzdem 5 Punkte.

時計デザイナーとして著名な渡辺力さんのアラーム時計です。最初、レムノスの別のアラーム時計を買っていましたが、なんかデザインがしっくりこなくて「やっぱりこちらかな」と買いました。焦げ茶色の本体色と文字盤の白、レトロっぽい書体を見ると、大正時代の民芸品のような面持ち。また、照明が斜めから当たった時の影の出方とか、とても素晴らしい。スイープセコンドなので、音がせずに秒針がなめらかに動く様を見るのも楽しいです。ほんとは5つ星を付けたかったのですが、どうしても納得できないところがあって減点しています。それがメーカーの姿勢。Amazonを含む多くのECサイトで使われている製品写真は旧バージョンのものなのです。写真をアップしましたが、左側が購入した実際の製品、右側がAmazonなど多数のECサイトで使われている製品写真。ボタンが木製から樹脂製に変更されています。おそらく2014年頃と思われます。case study shop nagoya　というインテリアショップが2018年5月に公開したブログに「数年前に仕様変更」とあり、ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーそれから仕様も数年前から少し変更されています。それが上部のボタンです。変更内容＜改善点＞・ボタンの接着強度の強化（脱落防止）・ボタンの押し易さ向上・ぐらつきの防止＜変更箇所＞・ボタン材質を変更（木製→樹脂製）・ボタンの高さを変更（2mm程度低く）ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーとあります。また、2015年の同ショップのブログには2014年7月にレムノスから仕様変更の発表があったとリンクを付けて書いています。おそらくこれがボタン変更の発表だと思われます。ただし、レムノス社ホームページがリニューアルしたせいか、デッドリンクになっています。実はこのことは、数年前から知っていました。3～4年前には、この情報は様々なサイトで見ることができたからです。なので、製品写真は仕様変更後のものだとずっと思っていました。何せレムノスのホームページにも載っている写真ですから。「今の樹脂製品はリアルな木目とかあるから、こんなにリアルな木製に見えるんだ」と思い込んでいました。ところが、届いた製品は写真の通りモロプラスチック感丸出しの質感。明らかに製品のバランスを崩しています。ボタン材質を変更した経緯については、仕方がないかもしれません。しかし、仕様変更から8年経っても写真を差し替えずにそのまま販売している姿勢には腹が立ちます。「予告なく仕様変更される場合がございます」というのは、メーカーサイトでの常套句となっていますが、それが免罪符になるわけではないと思っています。特にレムノス社はデザイン性に優れた時計に特化した会社のはず。それが、デザイン性を損なうような仕様変更に至った経緯をいっさい発表せずに販売しているのが許せません。ちなみに、case study shop nagoyaさんは、自社ECページにはちゃんと仕様変更したプラスチックボタンを大写しにした写真を自社で撮影して載せています。本来はこうあるべきです。レムノス社のリニューアルされたホームページには、過去の仕様変更情報は載っていません。昨年9月に2割近い値上げが行われました。値上げするのは仕方ないにしても、こうした商品情報のアップデートはきちんとやっていただきたいものです。製品そのものがとても魅力的なだけにすごく残念です。
