Does the job
Great sock helper, however not easy for people with one hand to use. For people that suffer with arthritis, knee and back problems, brilliant tool, easy to use and does the job. Not for one handed use though.

Dad is pleased with this
My Dad is 85 years old and has great difficulty putting his socks on and off. He is having his hip replaced tomorrow and I got this in readiness. He has been practicing with it since I gave it to him a couple of weeks ago and he is over the moon with it. He has gradually got better at using it as it takes a bit of technique but he now feels accomplished with it. Hoping he may be able to get his compression socks on with it but that remains to be seen. Even if he can't, it is a great boon for him.Edited to say Dad has now had his hip replaced and he didn't have to have compression socks when he came home as per the consultant but he has been able to put his own socks on and off using this depite his obvious disability. It isn't only good at getting the socks on but there is also a facility for getting the socks back off which is something Dad previously struggled with. He is 'as happy as' with this. I would say that it takes a bit of practice to find out the best technique for yourself but don't give up, after lots of practice you will find out what works for you. If my 85 year old Dad can use it to good effect in less than a week after hip surgery then anyone can.

The Stick Extension Not Sturdy Enough
The Sock Helper is reasonably easy to use , but the Tee Bar Stick is not sturdy enough and has broken in use , also I understand that that the item could be used as a shoe horn but is definitely not stiff or sturdy enough. See picture for broken end.

A sock fitter that works.
I mistreated this item the day I got it.Those of you out there with odema will know that when your feet and legs swell it is hard to find anything that will fit. When my feet and legs swell I take a size nine on the right and a eleven on the left.I just put on a pair of compression socks, it took some time but it was a learning curve. What I didn't like was lack of construction information, I managed by looking at the pictures on the box.The first part was easy to work out and clip together, those of you who put a lot of pressure on it would be advised to reseat it after ever use. My 148Kg (23stone 4lbs) has a tendency to push it out at the end but reseating after use works ok.The second part looks like Neptune's trident after dipping in a volcano. That is for removing the socks , I can't comment on that It, looks like it will work but I can take the socks off easily enough.Well worth the five stars , I have other systems that don't work unless I get up and strain my back .

Scarso
