FitFlop Women's Flare Slide Sandals

These shoes are the only reason I can walk! I'm a teacher and I have achilles tendonitis in both ankles. I have had it for almost 18 months. I've had physical therapy. I've bought all sorts of inserts, wraps, night splints, and ointments. I've stretched and exercised these tendons only to have them hurt worse. I have spent hundreds of dollars on athletic shoes that are supposed to be the best for people with this condition. Hundreds more on sandals. They all cause me more pain. No matter what I've tried, at the end of every day I am in so much pain that I cannot walk...until I bought these shoes. They are not curing my tendonitis; sadly I still have it. But if I wear these shoes I have almost no pain. If I wear any other pair of shoes even if only for a few minutes I suffer for days. It's crazy. I can only assume that it is the "microwobbleboard" footbed. FitFlops has a patent pending on this footbed technology. They say that it absorbs shock and diffuses underfoot pressure by increasing the contact area of the foot to the midsole. I had to look that up. It seems that the midsole is the most important part of any running shoe because its whole purpose is to absorb shock, provide cushion, and control excessive foot motion. Whatever it is, it is working for me!! I bought a second pair with the same footbed but in thong style. I wore them for the first time for a few hours yesterday. I had no pain last night and no pain this morning so now I know it is this particular footbed that is working for me. These shoes run a little bit wide but not huge. If you have a narrow foot, I'm not sure what to recommend. I don't have a wide foot. My foot width is very average but I don't mind that there is a little room. It isn't falling off or anything; it's just not hugging my foot. I actually like it. My foot sits comfortably on the footbed and I'm not wobbling around. I have spent some serious time on my feet in these shoes and literally had no pain. I rated them as "fit as expected" because they are not longer than the shoe size would indicate. They don't come in half sizes so if you're a 7 1/2 with an average foot width I'd order a 7. I'm an 8. I ordered an 8 and I can tell you that while these would be fine for someone who is typically 8 1/2, a 7 would have been too small for me. Amazon definitely offers the best prices I've found on the FitFlop brand. On the FitFlop web site this style is $110. I paid about $55 on Amazon. Only high end retailers sell them locally--Nordstrom and Von Maur. I made a trip to Von Maur only to be completely disappointed at the selection. They had only about 2 or 3 styles and nothing with the microwobbleboard footbed. I love that these shoes are pretty. I can wear them with jeans or shorts, or I can wear them with a dress or skirt. I get compliments on them. Also, after about 2 months of literally wearing only these shoes, the little beads are staying on. I was concerned about that but so far so good. Not all of their sandals have this footbed so if you're looking for help managing foot pain, read read read the reviews. This brand was recommended to me by a fellow foot pain sufferer and I couldn't be more thrilled. I did a lot of research and rejected quite a few styles before choosing this one. She told me the same thing--research before you buy. I don't know what I'm going to do when the weather turns cold. FitFlop has some actual shoes with this footbed, but they're expensive. I will keep scouring Amazon.

I love FitFlop shoes - they are insanely comfortable and cute. I wasn't too sure about buying slides because I generally like a strap to hold the shoe on while walking, but I haven't really had an issue with these shoes. They run a little wide, so I marked that - they are NOT too wide for me. I have a wonky hammered baby toe on my right foot and these shoes accommodate that without pain. I'm going to order them in different colors. The arch support in these shoes (and all FitFlop shoes) is excellent. The cushioning in the sole keeps my knees and hips from aching while walking - and my feet! Their midsole technology makes for a walking experience that feels like you're walking on a gel comfort mat no matter how hard the surface. I recommend these highly. I LOVE FitFlops!

I love fit flops but my employer won't let me wear them to work. Problem solved. I just received the slide sandal on Friday. I worn them to work on Mon-Weds. so far. My feet feel great (no break in time) and they feel just like the regular fit flops and since they "aren't" flip flops, I can wear them to work. I wore them with a dress and that looked great and I wore them with nice slacks and jacket. I even wore them to a job interview. I brought my nice pumps but forgot to put them on. They are cuter when you see them. They are real leather and the sparkles on the shoes are really cute. I am going to try them in another color. Since I live in California, I can wear them most of the year. I have wide feet but the medium works fine in both the regular fit flops and the slide sandal. I think this is my 6th pair of Fit Flops and I wear at least one pair every day.

This is a beautiful, well made shoe. I bought the taupe color (Pebble). The gold and silver rhinestones add just the right amount of shine . . .Comfort and style in perfect harmony? I really wanted this shoe to work. The size 8 fit my foot perfectly. I have long toes, and when I walked my 2nd and 3rd toes touched the front rim. We are talking mild discomfort, but I imagined if I walked around in them all day, there would be a new price to pay. I already have enough shoes that are slightly off for one reason or another. So I exchanged for the 9. The exchange process was fast and easy. The 9 was just too big. They have been returned. Apparently, I have the only half sized foot in a FitFlop world. I have thought about reordering the 8, but decided there are enough choices out there, and I will keep looking to find my foot nirvana.

I just got them delivered today, and I must say that the FitFlop pebbles color slide sandals, are more beautiful than in the picture, and so are the navy color ones, that I got a few days ago. They are well made and extremely comfortable. Buy one size lager as they run a little short. I bought 2 pairs of the Navy blue slides., one for me and the other one as a present for my daughter, but she did not want them, as she had already bought herself one pair the same. That is why I am sending one navy back. I bought myself 4 pairs in total of the FitFlop sandals this past month, in different colors ( through Amazon). I cannot wait to wear them this coming Spring, Summer and Fall. They are so comfortable.

I have been wearing Fit Flops slippers in my home for 6 years now and I love them. I walk through the door with my back aching and step into my slippers and it's the way your body feels when it finally lies down on a downy soft bed after a long day. I've been having a challenge with my back for some time now and walking long distances has always resulted in barely making it home before my legs give out. On a recent trip to Italy, another lady had these very shoes and she zoomed along on our walks while I lagged behind because my back hurt so much. I was so intrigued when she told me that she had back problems, too, when walking until she got these shoes. I ordered them on Amazon from Italy and they were waiting for me here when I returned home. Yesterday, I took a long walk in them and was elated to see that I never once had a problem with my legs or back and returned home, still with a lot of energy. They fit a little loose for my size, but I don't notice it much when I'm walking so maybe that is part of the design. I've already ordered another pair in a different style and will be ordering this style in another color, I love them so much!

I was looking for a pair of cute sandles that were not only cute but good for the feet I'm a hairdresser and some 11hr days were killing my feet and back . I was excited when they arived but they had stones missing and after 2 weares the strapes started to come apart and I read they run large I did not find this true but they are nice and squishy sole was nice on my feet and back so I sent for a replacement pair so we shall see but other than a few defects I do love them .

Love, love these FitFlops. The Flare is my favorite because it is narrower than some of the other styles - and I couldn't find them this spring/summer anywhere in a size 5. I have both black and navy. This is my 3rd pair of navy. I bought this pair for next summer in case they discontinue this style. I have 9 pairs of FitFlops. The are my favorite for spring/summer/fall. But the Flare style is my favorite. They are great with shorts or slacks. They are very supportive and stylish. I can stand in them all day and my feet are not sore or tired at the end of the day.

I have a narrow foot & as a result these FitFlop are loose, which I will have altered. Otherwise the thick cushy footbed/ sole are great. I would recommend.

I have a sore heal and these shoes have meant I have been able to wear something other than a runner. They are incredibly comfortable.

Ich habe sehr lange nach Schuhen / Schlappen für den Sommer gesucht, die nicht nach Schlappen aussehen und bei Hitze auch noch bequem zu tragen sind, sprich nicht drücken. Diese hier sind perfekt. Und sie sehen edel aus, nicht zuuu glitzerig aber eben doch noch sehr schick! Größe passt wie angegossen, das Material ist weich und anschmiegsam und die Sohle ist der Hammer. nicht Hammerhart sondern wunderbar weich, fast wie laufen am Strand: himmlisch! Bin begeistert! Einziger Wehrmutstropfen: beim Öffnen des Kartons kommt einem zuerst ein chemischer Geruch entgegen, der verflüchtigt sich aber, läßt man die Schuhe ein zwei Tage z.B. aufm Balkon stehen. Hab mir noch ein Paar bestellt, aber auch das werden nicht die letzten sein!

I love these fitflop sandals. I love that they are slides and don't go between my toes. The arch support is excellent, I wear them all day every day. They are so comfortable. I wear them late into fall and early in spring onward - so there are only a very few weeks where I have to switch to another shoe. People laugh at me for wearing sandals but they are so comfortable I put off wearing close-toed shoes until it is so cold I have to. I have multiple pairs of these shoes as I am so fearful that they will stop making them.
