Great budget cinema camera
Packaged well. Delivered swiftly. And the product is exactly as described. These cameras have that creamy cinematic look to die for. I'm looking forward to rocking this this summer. Its low-light performance is phenomenal.

Professional Camera within reach
While the camera's sensor MFT may not be enough for some seasoned filmmakers, the BMPCC 4K delivers a stunning camera that works seamlessly in the Da Vinci Resolve workflow. It is not perfect in the world of £10k++ cameras, but for £1300.00 it is worth it's weight in gold. This camera is for budding filmmakers and professionals. As there will be a steep learning curve for the enthusiast whose experience in cameras are purely "point and shoot". Saying that this is an affordable camera to get you started in the wonderful world of F-stop and RAW, HDR and all those video technical bits you hear from some youtubers.

Cinematography is now affordable.
I have 2 of these now as I use them daily as part of the kit line-up for by small production company. My review won't be a surprise, as there are literally thousands of 5-star product reviews for this amazing cinema camera. What I will say, which is no reflection on this camera, is choose your lenses wisely. Although this is classed as a budget cinema camera, there's nothing " budget" about it's performance, so putting cheap glass on the front defeats the object. If you're on a tight budget, look for a used cine lens that has some kudos, and you'll be shooting Hollywood standard footage in no time.

Incredible camera
An absolute beast of a camera, great image quality and versatility, incredible capability in low light and incredibly cinematic. Would recommend stocking up on batteries and only use SD cards, nor micro SDs as its prone to overheating at times. Would recommend to any filmmakers regardless of budget. Also comes with Davinci 16 which in my opinion is one of the best non linear editors out there.

Great picture, features and easy to run once set up.
Difficult for me to judge because it is my first 4k camera. Not easy to set up, a lot of extras on the rig but once you get it running smooth controls and great picture.

Nothing unexpected about this great camera.

Game changer
It's very frustrating reading the negative reviews on here. Both were posted before the camera was released and are completely fruitless 1 star comments. Really is a shame that fanboys of other cameras feel the need to rate down an awesome product just because they are scared it might be superior to their favorite!Anyway review time.Pros:- 4k 60fps DCI RAW: This is unheard of at this price point (£1100 max, don't overpay).- Picture quality: It is near enough as good as larger full frame cinema cameras, the colour science is insane. Blackmagic have nailed it here.- Recording formats: RAW and ProRES. RAW is incredibly versatile for editing, and ProRES is about as streamlined as it gets. My old outdated computer cuts through 4k ProRES like it's butter.- Ease of use: The interface, everything, just great!Cons:- Battery life: it sucks, but the batteries are cheap and plentiful so either find an external battery solution or bring spares!- no in camera stabilisation/autofocus: These are subjective depending on your uses. This is a cinema camera so realistically you shouldn't need these things anyway, but if you're coming from a DSLR or another mirrorless you might miss them.Overall this camera can't be beaten for the price. It's an absolute monster and produces the best images I've ever seen from a camera in the <5k range. It's untouchable right now.

Definitely not a camcorder
Obviously, the BMPCC4K is an incredible piece of kit. However, it really is a cinema camera, not a pocket camcorder. If you are considering buying one to step up from a high-end camcorder or a prosumer camera, beware.I would not recommend this device to non-professional videographers. It’s really more of a handy addition to a professional’s arsenal. If you want to splash out on a decent lens, a versatile rig and all the other accessories to compliment this device, you will end up with something that isn’t even the slightest bit pocket sized.Aside from the well-know drawbacks like the battery life and the image stabilisation, this device also shoots enormous and very demanding files that need to be touched up shot by shot in post production. Again, this is all fine if you have the time and some experience in this field. My mistake was thinking that I could use this device in a run-and-gun sense like I did with my previous camcorders. This is not a step up from a high-end camcorder. High-end camcorders can do a great deal more and are so much easier to use. I wish I was a good enough photographer with the time and dedication to use the BMPCC4K properly, but in the end I had to sell it and buy a nice Sony 4K camcorder, which worked out so much better for me.I do miss the BMPCC4K though. It was a brilliant device, just not quite suitable to my needs
