Can the exhaust fitting (the big red plastic cap) accept a pipe fitting?

The exhaust fitting does not accept a standard NPT fitting, the exhaust female thread is 7/8" in dia and 16 tpi.7/8" ID lies between pipe size 1/2 and 3/4

Can you tell the rated hp for this pump? I need one to easily keep 11 lbs vacuum using a pressure guage. Thanks!

Bonnie - 1/3 hp. It will hold 28 to 30in Hg in smaller sealed systems, such as automotive AC. Note that vacuum in this unit is constant and increases up to about 30in Hg. The equivalent in PSIa (a = absolute) for 30in Hg is roughly 15 PSIa. Note also that you will require a vacuum gauge to monitor vacuum; not a pressure gauge. Hope that helps.

Can i use different brand oil? Or has to be same brand?
