This clothesline looks great and was incredibly easy to install. It was ready to use right away, and it’s surprisingly strong — perfect for those heavy, wet jeans and hoodies that take forever to dry in the electric dryer. It holds the weight without sagging and has already saved me time and energy. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a simple, reliable outdoor drying option.

Great for emergency use. Our dryer quit and I bought this to use while we waited for the new one to arrive. Clothsline was easy to use and mount. Has versatility and stability too hang a full lilne of clothes on. Line retraction works great.

It works great , my only complaint is the way you have to wrap the cord to make it tight so it doesnt droop. Not a fan of that. But it is working for what I need it for.

The item is as described and works as stated. It is small enough that it basically disapears when not in use. The negative I see is in the hardware provided. Do yourself a favor and use decent hardware. The screw heads twist off or strip out easily. The anchors are not suitable for outdoor use. The Shepards hook works, but is a pain. Drill a pilot hole first if installing in wood and save your hands. On a very positive note, the unit does a pretty flat 180 degree so you can easily have it connect to one location when the weather is good and another location when there may be rain. I have a solar shed that is 65 feet long. My unit is mounted on the front of the shed and runs to a fence for good weather. It runs from one side of the solar shed to the other for bad weather as that is dry in the rain. For the price, I am happy with the unit even having to supply decent hardware.

Absolutely perfect! Very sturdy and little to no sag (even with a full load of laundry. Retractable and easy to set up and use. Turns so it’s out of the way and looks pretty nice even when it’s out. Very stable and comes with great hardware.

We bought this after saying goodbye to our worn out rotary clothesline. The idea of a retractable line makes a lot of sense and seemed to be just what I was looking for. Installation very simple. The reel mounts to an available flat surface with a couple screws and the hook for the line on another surface. Simple, easy and quick. I installed the hook on my shed only 20 feet or so away and a second hook in another, more distant location. When you go to use it you connect the line to your hook, and then you need to loop the line around the built-in post on the bottom of the reel to keep it from releasing more line when you hang something. The problem I’ve seen is this: if you only loop the line around the bottom of the post once, it won’t hold and the line will sag. So you need to loop a second time around the post. This works fine keeping the reel from dispensing line - and it minimizes sag. When you are done and want to reel the line back up, however, the twice-looped line is caught and doesn’t want to release easily. You have to pull hard to get the line loose and I can see where the line is getting damaged from being so tightly squeezed together. I anticipate the white outer layer of the line is going to rip in a short time, and THAT will cause a major issue. Holding at 3 stars for that reason. If I’m wrong and this holds up better than I fear I will up the rating.

Love this clothesline. Comes with all that is needed to install it. Sturdy and great that it is retractable. You will need better clothespins than the ones that come with it. They will work for light clothes.

The line sags when you put a few clothes on the line. The mechanism to ensure that the line remains taut does not work. It just slips. It's a poor engineering design in terms of maintaining tautness of the line once a few wet clothes are on the line. This was my third unit that I bought and have been happy with the previous two. But the last one seemed to be worse than the previous two. Quality issues? Or is it just a defective unit? Not sure... But either way it has diminished my confidence in this product.

We can hang 2 sheets and lots of other stuff without the need for a prop. We have used approx 10 meters of the line it retracts perfectly. only concern is the like stretches a little when you load it up with heavy wet cloths towels I would buy again

Dropped it once when I was installing and it cracked. cheap plastic crap. Now the spring doesn't retract the cable all the way in.
