Gentle & Soothing with Nice Scent
This face wash is gentle for my sensitive skin. It has a refreshing scent that isn't too "perfumey." It's non-foaming so I massage it into my skin to remove makeup and cleanse my face at night (or morning, if I haven't yet showered). The witch hazel is refreshing, too, and so far it seems to be helping with occasional blemishes. I'm very happy with Avya's face wash!

Gentle (But Pricey!) Cleanser for Sensitive Skin
I've been using AVYA Skincare's night cream and I love it, so I thought I'd give AVYA's gentle cleanser a try. Since it's a non-foaming cleanser, it doesn't really feel like it's doing much when I massage it into my skin. But when I rinse it away, I can feel the difference -- the oil and grime is washed away, and my skin feels soft and refreshed. This cleanser is also very gentle and doesn't irritate my sensitive skin in the slightest.I was surprised that the product insert mentions "calming and uplifting aromatherapy", because I can't really detect the floral essential oil (peony) this product contains. I'm getting more of an astringent and perhaps even chemical scent, which likely comes from the witch hazel and other ingredients. It's not unpleasant and the scent doesn't linger after rinsing, but I wouldn't really consider it an "aromatherapy" product.Overall, I find AVYA Skincare's non-foaming cleanser to be effective and gentle. If it were priced in the $10-$15 range, I would purchase it again without hesitation. But at $40, it seems overpriced for a product that gets rinsed away a few moments after applying. Those who normally purchase high-end/luxury skincare brands may find this price point reasonable or well worth the splurge...but personally, I'd rather save my splurges for creams or serums that penetrate and absorb into the skin. So, I'd give 5 stars for this product's performance, but I rounded it down to 4 stars because it doesn't deliver the same value for money as my current cleanser.

Gentle and Effective Face Wash, Safe for Sensitive Skin
My habit is always to wait at least a few weeks before reviewing anything. That way, readers of my comments know I am not just excited about a package coming in the mail but have also tested its durability. I typically do not use non-foaming face wash since I am not able to use my oscillating facial brush with it. However, I will gladly admit that my face did look squeaky clean and felt super soft to the touch after using. I have a lot of allergies so I am always looking for products that are sensitive for my skin. This product was very mild for my face and left my skin feeling smooth. I didn't have any redness, dryness, or itching after using it. I like that it had no particular scent but smelled fresh. It doesn't always remove 100% of my mascara, but that's par for the corse IMO. Recommend!!!!Hope you found this review helpful!

Cleans your skin AND keeps mosquitos aways!
This is a daily cream cleanser for all skin types.I have sensitive skin. It’s dry on my cheeks and oily on my t-spot (forehead, nose and chin). I always use cream cleansers. I prefer them over gel cleansers. This cleaner worked well for me. I could tell that it was penetrating in my pores and cleaning my skin. It worked to remove excess oils (without stripping my skin). I should mention, the first time I used it I did get some redness/irritation on my cheeks. Since then, my skin has felt clean and balanced (not too oily or dry) after using it.I really like the ingredients. It has witch hazel, salyic acid, turmeric, peony flower and neem leaf. The neem leaf is particularly interesting to me. It’s is a powerful antioxidant, anti-inflammatory agent, and keeps away mosquitos, fleas and ticks. I ALWAYS get bit by mosquitos, so having neem in my face cleanser is very attractive to me.Avya skincare seems like a solid company. No testing on animals. Made in the USA. Products are free of Parabens, GMOs, Toxins, Fillers, and Artificial colors.I recommend this, but wish it was less expensive.

big bottle, no foam, expensive
The Avya non foaming facial cleanser gently cleans your face. I use it on a loofah so it scrubs off makeup but did not when used with just my hands. It doesn't foam, which I am a big fan of, but I know you don't need foam to clean. Cleaner has a subtle scent, has a soft squeeze bottle, and is a milky clear color. Ingredients have a lot of anti-inflammatory properties so if you have skin issues then this would be a great product for you. That is probably the reason for the high cost. My skin was left feeling soft and clean. The bottle is fancy with the gold lettering and gold top. So if you want to shell out the big bucks for a decent face cleaner with a pretty bottle, then go right ahead.
