Great product

I bought this as my dad always had one when I was a kid and it reminds me of him. It writes beautifully, is great value for money and feels nice in terms of weight and design. Great that o can get refills for it, so better for the planet too. Highly recommend.

I'd seen reviews bring up questionable quality control with bad threading or sharp edges but I have no issues with mine. Similar to other reviews, the engraving of the Parker logo on mine is quite faint and scratchy. But this is apparently consistent with the manufacturer quality since production was moved from the UK to France.I'd also read reviews questioning the quality of the ink and the refill provided.I would have rathered black ink but I have no complaints about the quality of the blue quinkflow that came with the pen. It writes smoothly and comfortably. There are lots of other options of refills both from Parker and other brands, so the opportunity to upgrade is there if you see fit.I will say that it is much lighter and feels less sturdy than jotters I've had from years ago. But that being said, the all metal barrel is still very nice and and I'm sure will outlast plastic alternatives.It still has the familiar heavy and reassuring click mechanism that my older jotters had.It's a very slim pen, so may be uncomfortable if you have particularly shovel-like hands.It comes in a cardboard presentation box with a nice looking dark cardboard sleeve that slips over it. This has the Parker logo printed on it in gold.I think you still pay extra for the Parker name, and this is definitely their 'budget' offering. But it's an attractive looking pen that is infinitely more pleasurable to use than a plastic ballpoint. Don't expect anything too premium, but for what you pay it's still a solid choice.

Not much to say that anyone who knows pens wouldn't already expect. Parker is one of those solidly reliable brands that are a staple throughout the course of life. Shame they aren't produced in the UK any longer but things change. I was gifted my first navy blue Jotter Ballpoint by my parents when I started High School about 40 years ago, and have bought many more since. Great range of colour options available, comfortable to use, easy to refill, satisfyingly clicky retraction, smooth writing, and no blotchy ink. This latest purchase in the violet is a really pretty, shimmery shade too.
