Great reed at a great price
For this purchase, I was just looking to revisit this reed since I've been switching between Vandoren green and red box for the last 10yrs. These reeds worked really well on the Select Jazz alto mouth piece. Very nice and warm sound. I was able to work my way up and down the registers evenly in timbre and projection. After all ths time, I still find my way back to Rico (D'addario) Royals. What's great is they now come in these smaller packs, albeit slightly more expensive per reed this way. It's more convenient to either try out this cut or try out different sizes to see if you need to move up/down.

Good Consistent Quality
I bought these reeds in 2.0 strength for an alto sax.I was leery of using cane reeds after reading reviews questioning consistency in playability. So far these reeds have been good quality. They've been consistent too. No bad reeds thus far.For me they seem easier to play than the Plasticover reeds which I like also. I like them for a beginner alto sax player.

Good quality reeds, my go to
I used Royals on tenor for several years and am now using them for alto. I like the value of the reeds, I prefer them over Vandoreen standard blue boxes. I've never had any issues with reeds coming out of the box unplayable. 2.5 is my preffered strength, it gives a good mix of easy playability and good sound quality. D'Addario has a good rewards program too, enter the code on the inside of the box for points that can be redeemed for products, I've gotten a nice free reed case this way.

The Classic Reeds
The reeds are nice. Personally, I recommend level 4 for a more crisp sound. Rico Royal never fails

Pretty easy to use
Read quality is good for the price. Bought these because I started playing the saxophone again after not playing for a few years and a size three vandorn read was too strong. These helped me ease back into the saxophone and practice a bit before going back to a size three reed. Would definitely recommend for new players or players that took a long break from saxophone. Overall good reeds and you can’t beat the price

So much better than cheaper ones
I'd purchased these after going the cheaper route with some other reeds, but will stick with these in the future. These are so much nicer to work and play with. They do hold up well (don't split or break quickly with proper care) and make a better sound. Even as a beginner, I highly recommend these, since it's more enjoyable to play with something, which I don't have to be frustrated about.
