Beautiful symbol of courage
I ordered this pendant when I was looking for a meaningful symbol to wear. It is somewhat small, about 1/2 in diameter, but well worth the money. It has a heavy look and feel and the heavy border and beading around the fleur de lis give it an antique look. Yes, the chain is somewhat fragile, but it would add a lot to the cost of the pendant to add a heavier chain. I prefer to think of the chain as a bonus item. The bail on the pendant is larger and heavier than a jump ring and it makes the piece look nicely finished. I would just add a heavier chain or cord to wear it everyday. Very pleased with my purchase.

However, I was very disappointed that the chain broke only six or seven months after I bought this necklace. It just fell off one day because one of the links broke. High quality pendant but you may want to invest in a quality chain or risk losing it.

An Inspiration
For someone who is either a fan of Churchill, or simply needs the inspiration his words on this pendant give (or both, like me!), this charm is wonderful. It is great quality--beautiful, actually--and the inscription on the reverse side is extremely clear and easy to read, despite the overall delicacy of the pendant. I love wearing it, and I think it would make an excellent gift.

Delicate but lovely
Many people are unhappy with the size - it is small. It is a tiny bit (2/16th's of an inch) wider than half an inch and from the top of the OVAL to the bottom, it is half an inch. Get a ruler and look at the size you will get before you order. If you place your pinky over this sideways you can cover it. The chain is very delicate. But this is not cheap jewelry, quite the contrary. For the size the piece is solid and as other reviewer's have said - the inscription on the back is clear and etched in very well. If you are looking for statement jewelry - this is NOT it. If, on the other hand, you are looking for a small piece of jewelry that when you touch, reminds you of the poignant words on the back - this is for you. I think it would make a lovely gift for someone who loves silver and is touched by words that carry meaning.

Beautiful Sterling Silver Pendant and Chain
This is the prettiest and shiniest chain and pendant I have ever worn. I wear it all of the time and it does not get tarnished or change color. The sentiment inscribed on the back of the pendant is what drew it to me as well as the fleur-de-lis on the front. Well worth the money.
