are these boots waterproof?

These boots are built with a cordura fabric that is sprayed with a waterproof solution off the line. I have hiked extensively in these boots in the winter and in very wet conditions. The seams on the sides have failed and need to be reglued and they need to be resprayed after every season or else your feet will get wet. For the price, get a nice pair of leather danner hikers instead

the shoes size listed is UK or US size ?

I normally wear US size 11, but got these in 12, and they still somehow turned out small and narrow (too narrow).

How are they on ice? Do you slip?

It was 23 this morning. Did not slip on ice in the shade but ice where the sun was shining had a thin layer of water and was very slippery. Nothing will grip on wet ice that I have found. My feet were nice and warm

Does the insole have some kind of fleece lining?

To me it seems like a cross between an emergency blanket and a fleece liner. If you are worried about your feet getting cold in these, don't. I've had no issues whether it's snow, water or just a really cold day. My feet have stayed warm. The only thing I think they could do better is make the toe cup wider. If you have wide feet, they probably aren't for you.
