An awesome, wonderfully priced hammock
I really don't understand the negative comments here. I bought this hammock here on Amazon, and put it up between a water maple and a dogwood in my yard, using these straps: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007XV6PUI/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The hammock comes with two ropes to attach to eye bolts to put in the tree, not any "strap" hardware, but I don't like putting things into trees. The wrap straps are so much more tree friendly. It's exactly as it looks in the picture size wise as well. There are dimensions in the product writeup, I would think people would measure and area to see how big it actually is, rather than rely on a picture. I did, and it is exactly as they say it is.It was incredibly easy to put up. Yes, it sags. It's a hammock. Welcome to physics. It looks just like the picture, sags like the picture (again, physics... it's a net hammock, it will sag. They all will). It took a few tries to get the height right and the wrap of the straps to get the hammock just where I wanted it, but once it was up (about 10 minutes), I tried it out. I am 5-8 and about 160 lbs, and no issues. The construction is perfect, no frays, no tears, nothing negative at all. Very well made (and I am an ex-sailor and know my line and knots). It's long enough for my 6-3, 240 lb. hubby, and holds all three of us, including my 10 yr old daughter. It's cotton line (rope). It's a natural fiber that will, in time, weather. That's just the laws of nature. The only real problem I had was making myself get out of it. I kept dozing off, it was so comfortable. It took me 30 minutes to convince myself to get out of it. It's a marvelous buy. I got it in 2 days and free shipping with Amazon Prime. I will be spending many an hour in that hammock with my books. Now I just need to find or make a table for my coffee cup to attach to the tree!

Poor quality
I set up the hammock to ensure enough tension pulled it taught. Yet, the ropes between the wooden bars were knotted in a way that didn’t make each rope tight enough to let me or anyone sit in it. The ropes slid apart and then stretched way down, almost touching the ground. It was not functional enough to use. Seems more like cheap materials and assembly typical of outsourced products that flood this site. Deeply underwhelmed and returned within a week.

It lasted five years
I have always had a hammock in my backyard, sometimes I take them in to the garage but usually just leave them out in the elements. I used to get Pawley island hammocks, mostly for nostalgia I guess, but I was having to replace them every other year or so when the rope would break after exposure to the elements. Bought this one because it was so much cheaper figured what did I have to lose. Yes the rope separates a little bit more than I’d like and yes it droops a little more than I like, and up close the quality isn’t as high as PIH, but from a distance it looks no different and it lasted for five years of me, me and my wife or me and my kids relaxing on it, that’s less than $10/year. For the price I give it five stars.

For the price it is fantastic. Some reviewers concerns are durability
We have bought this hammock twice. For the price it is fantastic. Some reviewers concerns are durability. Yes, you get what you pay for. We have been able to keep our hammock out year round (california beach area) and it lasted for a few years. Great value if you ask me. If you want it to last longer, bring it in when not in use. It is also very comfortable for a rope hammock. I agree with another reviewer, it is not as big as it looks in the picture. However, my 6 ft tall husband and my 9 year old son were able to share it very comfortably. Another concern is that it hangs to the ground when you sit in it. This can be avoided by handing it correctly. Because it stretches, you must hang the hammock "high and tight". Ours is stretched flat at about the height of my belly button (just under rib cage and I'm 5 foot 6) and it works great when we get in it.

Great product, inexperienced operator!
Okay, so I got this for my wife for an upcoming camping trip. We decided to try it out in the back yard so I stretched it between two trees with the help of the "Hammock Tree Straps Suspension System". I stretched it as tight as I could about 6' off the ground. I tried it first & when I sat down, BOOM... straight to the ground! I guess you have to break these things in first before you just go and sit on them. That said, it's made very well, quality construction and all the knots are tight in placed correctly. Just go slow on that first try or it will be a pain in the... well... you know. ; )
