Seco-Larm Enforcer Reversible Electric Door Strike, Asymmetric (SD-994A-A1AQ)

I'm a handyman for one of the largest condo in our city. Their buildings are about 20 years old and starting to show age. One of the door electronic latches broke and trying to find an exact fit was a challenge. With this unit I had to enlarge the height a little in the door frame but was not a challenge. Worked perfectly as a replacement and even had a buzz sound when released. I wouldn't be surprised if the condo board starts to have me replace all of them knowing if one goes bad the rest will follow. The original latch had the low voltage latch had the wires pre installed , I just went to Ace hardware and bought one foot of thermostat wire to re connect, worked perfectly.

Good quality, only needed minor chiseling to match it to the existing door frame. But note that they use the same part number for 2 offset versions of this strike.

The product I received matched the diagram NOT the photo I had to chisel out a bit of the frame to get this to fit as its a bit longer than the original one (but I knew I was going to from the dimensions)

This lock is overly similar to a bronze looking lock. It was have the price. I liked that the edge was flattened instead of pointed. This doesn’t quite fit the hole made by the higher price lock. Need to do a little carving around hole. Feels stronger.

Excellent strike for the money, very well made, priced very well, and functions perfectly!

Initially works fine, then acts up, and only works sometimes till it just doesn't work. Contacted their customer support and they were no help at all, so, not worth buying, based on bad customer service.
