Lydia USA Military Look Double Button Breasted Vest Jacket with Detachable White Frilly Ruffle (L-3472 Plus)

I really liked how this vest looked when I first opened it. The details of the buttons and the removable ruffle (held on by small buttons inside the vest) were great touches. I ordered my regular shirt size and could barely get the vest fastened (one hook and eye style fastener at the waist). I would estimate that it was 2-3 sizes too small, and it's also shorter than it appears on the model. The fabric is thick and has great stretch to it, but the ruffle doesn't stretch at all, which led to some gapping when the vest was fastened. Not sure if I will return it or if I'll keep it and just wear it unfastened.

I wasn't sure what to expect based on the pictures, but this item has very nice quality. The ruffle was lower quality than the red vest and didn't really seem to go in person, and so I removed it and I think I might re-purpose it for another project. I did try it with the ruffle first and maybe if it was sewn on it would work better, but I prefer it without the ruffle.

I saw like two different pages for this vest. This page seemed like it would be for plus sizes. I got a 2x and it was still too small. I normally wear a large. And the problem area was in the bust so if you still want to try go for it. It would have been nice if there was a proper sizing chart so I could have know from the start.
