Christmas Decorations from Williamsburg

I am very pleased with the book I received and with the seller. Shipping was on time, the book is as described, “New” and is in excellent condition. There are beautiful timeless, traditional photography throughout the book showing Christmas in the Williamsburg style. There are ideas and how-to decorations for wreaths, swags, topiaries, kissing balls to decorate mantels, stairways, windows and for the formal and informal holiday table. Recipes are included for entertaining. The book concludes with hints for the use of plant materials and what to do to keep your decor fresh for the holidays. Very happy with this book.

Needed it plan for next year's holiday. Arrived on time, in perfect condition-couldn't ask for any thing more!

An interesting and informative book about Christmas decorations in colonial times.

You will get a lot of different uses out of this book. Visually it is beautiful with glossy color photographs from the first page all the way to the back. An excellent coffee table book for the holidays. Second, it gives step by step instructions on how to create Mid-Atlantic colonial style holiday decorations using all natural materials.Third are the recipes. If you've ever visited Williamsburg during the holiday season and sampled the wonderful colonial dishes then you'll find the most popular recipes in the back section of the book. This is a great all-encompassing beginner book for homemakers to cut their teeth on before moving onto more specific (and ambitious) entertaining and decorating texts.

I bought this book for my neighbor and when it came I wanted to keep it! She had recently visited Williamsburg and came back with stories of how she loved the Christmas decorating and wanted to emulate things for her own home.I've never been to Williamsburg myself, but this book was beautiful! The pictures were professional (I've seen books where they were not) and there were instructions on how to make the decor yourself. Well worth it! I will probaly get one for myself for next season!

I loved the book and explanations on how to make the lovely arrangements! I live iin TX and the fruit was not holding up too well in 80 degrees.

I live in Williamsburg Virginia and see the beautiful fruit wreaths and loved them. I bought this book hoping that I can make one of my own. I haven't tried yet, but this book has great pictures and directions for making these gorgeous creations. Now I just need to decide which one I want to make!! Have fun!

I bought the book as a reference for possibilities as Christmas decorating and it was along the lines of other books I have on the subject so wassatisfied.
