I use this brush for many years this it's a replacement it’s very good to pull all you small hair

This is the perfect little teasing brush. It has short and long as well as plush and coarse bristles, all on a sturdy wooden handle with a pointed tip for sectioning. This bristle structure not only helps catch all hair, but really tease and tousle your locks! It creates A LOT of volume when used properly just be sure you know how to correctly tease your hair...you don't want a rats nest! This brush not only created a lot of Va-Va-Volume but it doesn't seem to mat and knot my hair, at the end of the day even through much thrashing around (playing with the niece and nephew) and rough housing my hair was easy to brush through. I use a bit of hairspray at the root followed by backcombing and allowing the volume and hairspray to set (hold above you head for a few seconds). This brush is also the perfect size, it fits in most of my travel totes so I can always have wonderfully big hair. Overall this was a great purchase I am so happy I decided to go with this "brush" style verses some of the other teasing "combs" that are out on the market. Where has this been all my life and how did I not know about teasing brushes? I have never been able to get a good tease using a rat tail comb so thought I would try this brush after reading about teasing brushes in a vintage hairstyle book. WOW - I have fairly fine hair and I am amazed at how well this works to give me volume. It's just the right width for my bangs too. The brush is well made, no loose bristles. I get it really sticky using pomade and it washes up nicely. Not losing any color/flaking on the handle. Great price, costs a few dollars more at my local beauty shop. I really like this brush and recommend it.

I have very long, very thick hair and I wondered if this little brush would be a good travel size brush for my purse. I thought that I would rarely use it because I also have a larger Spornette brush for home use. But I find that I reach for this one first, even at home. It's comfortable to hold and it actually goes through my hair in only a few strokes. I carry it with me everywhere I go. It seems to decrease the static in my hair somewhat better than the plastic bristle brush I had been using. It also seems to be decreasing my split ends which makes my hair much smoother than it used to be. Works well for teasing at the top of my head. It's a rather attractive little brush and it's easy to clean. I would definitely buy this brush again.

I bought this new brush as a back up to another one that I purchased over 12 years ago. I bought it not because the other one broke, but, because I figured maybe it’s worn down and I don’t realize it? So, I bought a new one. As it turns out, my other one still works as well as the day I bought it. It is faded, but structurally sound. So, I will be using it until I can’t. And there’s no way of knowing when that’ll be? In the meantime, I have this back up and I’m sure it will last as long as the other one. Nothing about the quality has changed. They still make them exactly the same. As for functionality… I had purchased a different brand of teasing brush when we moved because I couldn’t find my other brush at first. And did not recall the brand name. So bought a different brand. The other brand is plastic, small, felt cheap and did not grab onto my hair has the.Spornette brand does. That’s right, I know, and will never forget the name now. I missed my other so much, I dug around in the array of boxes until I found it. There is simply no better brush of this kind.

This teasing brush didn't seem to fit my fine hair that well. I tried to lightly tease, then rough tease, and both times I found my hair breaking. It could be just my hair, though, so people with thicker and stronger hair may do better with this product. It does create some friction, just not enough for my purpose of teasing. I would suggest for teasing fine hair just using a fine tooth thin comb. This brush has multiple rows of bristles which may have caused the breakage.

Just the right size for my hand. It does a good job teasing hair and smoothing it out

Brilliant little brush, bristles not too hard but it really back combs the hair well without making it look a mess. Brushes out easily too. I read about this in a magazine and ordered it straight way, and I am so pleased with it, just wish I had known about it before now! I think that because it is half the width of an normal hairbrush it is easier to use and does the job better than a wider brush would. HAPPY!
