Can't figure this out....
I waited over a month to get this Yanzeo SR3308 RFID Reader/Writer from Amazon. During that wait I ordered a bunch of RFID tags to experiment with when the reader/writer arrived. The tags have been here for several weeks. The Yanzeo reader/writer arrived yesterday. And since its arrival I've been trying to figure out how to use it. I downloaded software for the reader/writer from Yanzeo site and installed it on my Windows desktop machine. I attached the reader/writer to the computer by the included USB-A to USB-A cord. I turned the reader/writer on. I can't figure out a thing. I don't think my reader ever connected to the software I installed.I tried looking up how to work with the reader/writer. I tried downloading software from other sources. I tried installing the drivers included in the Yanzeo package--all to no avail. I am thoroughly and utterly lost in figuring out how to use this thing. Though not a tech whiz, I'm fairly capable of eventually finding my way around software and hardware, yet this software is well beyond my ability to grasp. The fact that it has little-to-no documentation that's written in clear English doesn't make things easier. And the software appears to have been written back in the days of the MS-DOS operating system.I thought I might be able to use this reader/writer with inventory for a family business. Maybe my son can figure it out. I can't.Despite the futility of my efforts to use this reader/writer I've given it five stars under the assumption that the problem lies with my inability to understand or use the software. The piece of hardware seems fine and I suspect someone with a deeper understanding of RFID programming than I possess would be able to use the reader/writer without difficulty. But this thing is not for the uninitiated or the casually curious.

Works well for both reading and writing
Installation was easy but the software required a bit of fiddling. Eventually it worked and still works everytime I plug it in so not complaining.

Works Great for a Retail Store
My son implemented and started using this in his retail store to help with tagging for theft. He was able to get it figured out on how to make it work with his current system.

It works well
This does a great job of both reading and writing. The software was a little strange compared to what I’m used to but I was able to get it figured out. It does the job so I can’t complain.

Reads on first try
Great reader. I needed to replace a failing reader on the card entry door to my shed. I had to put this reader on the inside of the door, and it easily reads the cards through the wall. It pluged in and was a quick setup to get it to work with the computer and my door now opens with the RFID cards every time.
