Best Comforting Children’s Story About My Favorite Show!
Words can not describe how exciting it is to share my love of Buffy with my 3 year old son! He’s much too young to watch the show, but this book is an amazing and child friendly introduction into the Buffy universe. At an age where he’s suddenly become afraid of monsters in his closet, I couldn’t have found this book at a better time! He’s now pretending he’s Buffy and checking his own closet for monsters. He’s then copying the book and offering his Sully and Mike monster toys water and blankets when he finds them inside. It’s too cute. He’s also cuddling with my Mr. Gordo pig now at bedtime! For adult Buffy fans it’s a real pleasure to see the amazing artwork and all of the Easter eggs in the book. From the artwork of the town with The Bronze and Angel’s mansion in the distance, to the many MANY recognizable demons in the closet, it’s really a lot of fun. Obviously the book isn’t canon as Buffy didn’t know Willow, Xander, or Giles at 8 years old but who cares? It’s an adorable children’s story and let’s face it, we can just pretend the Monks made these memories too!UPDATE: It’s 1.5 years later and it’s still his favorite book at 5. He even dressed up as Buffy for school for “Favorite Book Character Week” and brought this book for the teacher to read to the class. I hope they release another Buffy children’s book one day! I would love a kid friendly Buffy book about bullies, or one about not judging people (like vampire Angel with a soul is a vampire, but he’s good!).

Perfect way to create young Buffy fans!
This is a great way to introduce your kids to Buffy while also being fun for super fans of the show. There are, of course, some canonical inconsistencies (primarily Buffy living in Sunnydale as an 8-year-old), but those are easily overlooked in favor of the adorable artwork, clever writing, throwbacks to monsters-of-the-week from throughout the series, and tiny details that only the most dedicated fans will get (Mr. Gordo, the Dorothy Hamill poster on the wall). I bought this book "for my child" but I'll probably enjoy reading it just as much, if not more than she will at this point!

Beautiful and moral
This is such a wonderful children’s book. I love that it takes the characters we know and love into a children’s story with an important lesson.Buffy tells the story of being a child and being afraid of the monster in her closet. She asks her friends for help and Giles for help. Xander and willow spend the night and Giles promises to teach her to fight when she’s older. He tells her she is strong. The next night her and her friends open the closet to find all the villains the show knows in it! They’re afraid too! So Buffy and friends have a party with them.Such a cute story. Great moral. Beautiful artwork.

Lovely book!
I wondered, "What exactly does a Buffy children's book entail?" I had to buy it! It was a lovely, fun book that was definitely age appropriate. I read it aloud to my 3 year old niece after giving it to her, and she kept asking for me to read it again! For hardcore Buffy fans, please be warned that there are definitely issues with the logistics of the plotline when compared to Buffy canon. However, it's a children's book, get over it!

Animation is Great
My 2-year-old (and I) really likes this book. The story is kid appropriate, pulling in characters (including bad guys) that fans of the show would know, without being over the top scary. The animation is great. With this said, don't expect an amazing story line. This is more of a book for fans of the show who want to have it in their collection. Still, I am pleasantly surprised in seeing that my 2-year old really likes to re-read the book. No waste of money here, all around pleased.

Great for the budding Buffy fan!
My 5 yo daughter and I have read this together every night since we bought it! She loves looking at all the pictures and has already started memorizing her favorite parts! She loves to say that Buffy looks like her since they both have blonde hair. And she says she wants to be brave like in the book. A very sweet story, beautiful illustrations, and just a delight for any Buffy fan.

Good s)book!!
So, this book is great for fans and kids alike. I read it to my 3 year old to help her be less afraid of the dark. Now when she's scared she says she's "brave like Buffy". It makes me happy. Other than that, the book has cute art, characters the fans will recognize (even the villians!!) And a sweet (but not canon) storyline.

Perfection
I am a HUGE Buffy fan. And though my 2 year old has never actually seen the show yet, she does play with all 3 of my collector doll sets. She even brings one to bed and says “Buffy safe” haha. So when I saw this I was ecstatic!Absolute perfect children’s story. Great introduction for younger kids.Though, for rock solid fans such as myself, be aware this does not necessarily match the lifeline of Buffy, as she did not meet Willow and Xander until she moved to Sunnydale at 16. But obviously that’s just me nitpicking haha. Still very awesome story with a great lesson.OH, and as a fan, you will notice a very awesome little “Easter egg” at the end.Great for kids or even just a collector. Book is a lot bigger than I realized which is even more awesome!I hope to see more of these released :)

Veio todo amassad
O livro veio completamente amassado.

Full of the warm fuzzies! High quality, big book, great art. Fantastic experience.
This was fantastic. I've been trying a few of these 'pop classics' and 'little golden books' stories with our children. They're fresh takes on nostalgia filled stories from defining points in our life, and it is great to have a way to share them, it's a bit of a guilty indulgence for me because I enjoy telling the stories of characters that feel familiar, but in a way that isn't intimidating or scary to our kids. There are some key difference between these two types of books, these 'pop classics' books are physically larger and with tactile satin feel page and normal softback bindings but most importantly - a nice high quality print, however they are about 1/3 more expensive than the 'little golden book' series of similar styles of story. After reading through a couple of these I would confidently say that I do actually prefer these Pop Classics though, because the story actually feels complete and it's easy to read to my kids - even including a underlying moral of the day! The artwork is nuanced with nods back to entire series of storylines from the original shows, even within the relatively simplistic story on the pages. It's great fun sharing these and the kids definitely enjoy it more because I enjoy it more.High quality, bigger pages, great art. Fantastic experience.

Très mignon
Parfait pour initier les plus petits à Buffy, même si l'histoire est une grosse entorse à l'original (jamais Buffy n'a grandi à Sunnydale). Parfait pour pratiquer l'anglais : ils précisent certaines prononciations.
