Gave this electric pencil sharpener to my grandson's teacher. She was thrilled to have such a great electric pencil sharpener. She wrote me a note telling me it was the best gift she had received and uses it every day. It is quiet so it does not disturb the kids in her class.So I bought a electric pencil sharpener for my house. Wow. This electric pencil sharpener is quiet and fast. So we bought 10 packs of pencils for my grandson's teacher. He spent an hour sharpening pencils to take to school. For the entertainment value with my grandson alone I would rebuy this electric pencil sharpener.He loves helping his teacher, and she needs new pencils once a month. So I buy them, grandson sharpens them, and I feel like we are helping out the classroom teacher in a way that is meaningful to her. (She told me that).

It is not what I expected. It uses 4 AA batteries and it sharpens but not as neatly as I expected. It doesn’t stop when pencil is sharpened like other electric sharpeners do. I was also expecting it to have a cord to plug in but it doesn’t. Maybe I misread the description. The only reason I’m not returning it is because the kids ripped the box it came in. If not definitely returned it.

This pencil sharpener is not electric but requires batteries to operate. It has decent build quality but the trash compartment spills everything once you open it. The design could have been better.

An absolute MUST for homeschoolers. i found this electric pencil sharpener as a recomendation of a homeschooling mother on her blog. I have gone through so many electric pencil sharpeners it is rediculus! So I thought after this other mom gave it such a glowing review I had to try it. I figured if it sucked I would just send it back. This thing is here to stay!!!!! It sharpens pencils so fast. You can sharpen most size pencils with it, it is not super loud, and in the few months we have had it my kids still have not managed to break it. That alone says something about the workmanship. LOL Save yourself some time and effort and skip all the cheap electric pencil sharpeners and just get this one. You won't regret it!

My 4 yr old and 7 yr old used this and it broke. They have no idea how to break something like this. The insides fell out when we went to empty it. :<

The pencil sharpener broke after less than a month of using it in my classroom. I am very disappointed in this purchase because I now have to buy another pencil sharpener for my classes.

My wife needed to sharpen her art pencils. The electric pencil sharpeners fouled easily: shavings from the pencils clogged the works, pencils never had the thin points she needed for intricate work. The Quiet Sharp does it all: never clogs, almost self cleaning, points are fine and still strong. What A electric pencil sharpener.

The pencil sharpener is hand cranked, NOT electric. If you are buying this because it is automatic, Don't. If you are buying this because it LOOKS like a sharpener, then it is a cute lookalike. I'm returning my purchase because I need an automatic one not a self-sharpening lookalike.
