Exceptional Portable Vegan Nutrition
I'm a professional bodybuilder who is vegan. I needed a plant-based, nutritious, portable, protein-rich, substitute meal source that I could transport in a small suitcase, store without refrigeration, and prepare without a microwave. Preferably something that isn't a sodium bomb that I'd still actually look forward to eating. I brought Aahana's with me to this year's natural bodybuilding world championships and could not have been more delighted. The four-pack comprised the basis of my lunch and dinner over two days. I added a scoop of greens powder to each cup when rehydrating along with a few spoonfuls of pre-cooked, vacuum-packed quinoa and voila. Delicious and satisfying. I hit the stage strong and energized. This four-pack is going to be one of my road staples.

Awesome companion for our recent road trip vacation!
Wow! We’ve been loving Aahana’s mild Indian-flavored vegetarian meals! The taste is authentic yet gentle enough for all palates, with a great variety of regional Indian dishes. It’s a true lifesaver for vegetarian families—just add hot water, and you’re ready to eat! We used in on a recent trip. Perfect for travel—backpacking, hiking, camping, or anywhere you crave a comforting, healthy Indian meal without the fuss. These meals are lightweight, nourishing, and convenient. Highly recommended for anyone who craves Indian cuisine with healthy ingredients and no prep hassle.

Yummy
These are good. Not too spicy (I often have to add beans or rice to dilute Indian food and keep it from hurting me, but these are nice and mild, so I can eat them without adding anything). They give you a nice amount that's about right for a snack or part of a meal (about 2 cups worth). I add a bit more water to mine than they suggest and I do it in the microwave (just heat the water for a minute then let it sit the 7 minutes they suggest). It works really well. This is very lightly salted, which I like. It's much better to add salt if you need more than try to dilute it. Quinoa Lentil: yummy. Mostly tastes like mashed potatoes but you get nice bits of lentils, carrots, and such. I can't really taste the cilantro and that's a good thing. There was one thing in there that tasted really bitter, but there was only like 2 pieces (maybe the cilantro?). Millet and Lentil: This one was a bit beanie tasting, but the kitchari flavor was predominant (not sure how to describe it). I couldn't really place the flavor of the millet but I liked it. I've heard millet is bitter, but this wasn't. There was a leaf of something (cilantro?) in here that was bitter so I didn't eat that part. Masala Rice and Lentil: Tastes a bit like split pea soup (with peas and potatoes), but with an Indian twist. Mung Beans and Rice: Has that distinctive kitchari taste, plus a little subtle potato and green bean flavors. Bits of carrots too. The mung beans aren't sprouted as I expected, they really are just the bean part. I didn't notice much of a flavor, but overall it was a nice meal.

Gross Waste
Would NOT soften. Not with boiling water, not with microwave, not soaking overnight. Just floaty dry bits in water.

Flavorful but Lack Texture
Hard to find quick, flavorful, GF meals but these are great. I found they lack any texture which was a little weird to me but still tasty. Probably won’t reorder but a nice change in my search for a quick meal that makes my palate happy. I’d best describe as “mushy”…

These lentil bowls are truly fresh and aromatic
Typically I don’t go for processed foods or anything that is not fresh but I took a risk with Ahaanas and I must say that I am totally blown over by the freshness of the ingredients, aroma and the fact that within minutes you have a meal ready. My favorite is spinach and garlic and ever since I got hooked onto this Ahana‘s lentil bowls I’ve been sending this to my kids daily lunch meals… kudos to Ahana’s for creating such a wonderful product and it’s it does show that the Founder has put in a lot of thought to the nutritional content. The taste the texture and the delicious flavors..

Perfect for lunch at work or an easy dinner on busy nights.
This is so convenient and delicious! Favorite flavors are Classic Masala and the Spinach and Garlic. Finding a quick meal that’s actually nutritious (and tastes homemade) can be tricky — but these hit the mark perfectly. You can tell a lot of care went into developing these recipes. I love that they’re plant-based and packed with protein. Rich, satisfying, and surprisingly fresh-tasting for a shelf-stable product.

A little to mushy
They sounded good. The flavor was ok but the texture for me was awful. Some was mush and a few morsels were still hard. This made it awful for me. I picked spinach and garlic and was diss appointed im returning the rest
