It works incredibly well in our shower which we retrofitted using Delta plate and it looks beautiful. Don't forget to buy the connector inside the wall so it will distribute the water to this shower controller. Make sure you get a professional installer who knows what he's doing and also I pointed him to the website with all the details of installation. The temperature control is amazing and you can adjust the flow from very small to high pressure while retaining the same temperature. Works beautifully with shower head also purchased on Amazon.

Wanted a different shower valve but was hesitant to undertake the job. Needing to replace the rough-in box in the wall meant a pretty big job so I put it off. But after taking the plunge, I am so happy with the result. This valve uses the top knob to turn on or off the water and control water pressure, while the larger lower knob controls the temperature. Be aware that the same rough-in box can be used with a wide variety of valves from this manufacturer that operate differently. This one is shower-only (no tub spout diverter or second shower head option). I love that I can turn on or off the shower with the temp set the same all the time and it is super-consistent. And if others in the house use hot or cold water while you are showering, the valve reacts to the change in pressure to maintain a constant temp and that works well too. Installation was a bit of a learning curve for me - I have basic plumbing skills but hadn’t done this kind of thing before. I needed some elbows and other bits from the hardware store as I expected. In the end I’m just so impressed with this valve that I regret not doing it long ago.

I love this brand and products. I don’t know if it’s the product issue or my contractor doesn’t know how to install. It makes a scratch sound when I turn. So I have to return it.

Warning. Do not buy this if you want a diverter because the Amazon description is incorrect as the top control is a flow control only. I was mislead by the comparison table and the questions and answers. Maybe I should have checked the Hansgrohe sure but I relied on Amazon to my detriment. I have Axor products and am partial to the Hansgrohe grand and this trim looked pretty good but obviously was not installed. Luckily, I was looking at some other items and noticed that the price was literally half what I paid two weeks previously and on reading the one star reviews again noticed the description discrepancy.

I have 3 similar Hansgrohe controls. One is the separate flow and temperature control without the diverter. All work flawlessly.One is with a diverter and the other is no separate flow control. I am about to purchase a new one with flow control and replace it (why I was looking at the link). The one without flow control has a very narrow band where just small changes make the changes in temperature that you need. Since the control is somewhat remote from the shower head it fiddling to do. The one with flow control has a much larger range to adjust the same range of temperature. On a separate issue I had an Hansgrohe shower head lose the capacity to adjust the kind of flow (after over 2 years). I found their support excellent. They supplied me with a new one free of any charge. They also told me I could change the current shower control for the one with flow control. I started by phoning and then entered into an email exchange.

The body is a very heavy brass casting and maintains constant pressure and temperature balance. Great it and finish, very smooth cartridge.

i did note that some buyers of this product did not have a good experience with it. mine has been installed for over a month now and it is working as designed. i was looking specifically for a single outlet, separate temp and volume control. this was quite cost effective. it does need the hansgrohe ibox to work. i purchased that too from amazon.

I'm having trouble realizing if mine is installed correctly. I had a certified plumber install it through my contractor, but he's already had to come change it once. I'm not sure if they temperature valve is put on properly. It faces straight down for cold, and you turn to counter clockwise to heat up. The problem is that it hits the on off valve before it hits full heat. Is it supposed to be facing straight down in Cold? Seems like it should be pointed at 9'clock, so that it has enough room to swing over all the way. I can't figure out how to take it on and off. Initially it was even worse because the on/off swung to the right, so it had even less room. This can't be a design flaw right?
