AMAZING ! I JUST LOVED THE BOOK !
AMAZING ! I JUST LOVED THE BOOK ! Being a new CISO, I have got to be learning every day, and that is one of the main reasons why I have been in this industry. I am passionate about the continuous learning. The authors have only emphasized that, promoting continuous learning for the CISOs. They did an amazingly great job.I really enjoyed the practical aspect of the book, and a clear return on experience. The examples, and concepts are clearly being implemented and they are not just theoretical notions, but proper advice. It is also well written and clear. You do not feel that you NEED to read it but that you WANT to, and you won’t be bored because it all relates to various experiences, with an opening on new perspectives.

This book is a Cybersecurity Canon candidate.
I recommend that this book be included in the Cybersecurity Canon Hall of Fame candidate list alongside its first volume companion. These two books will provide any CISO, newbie or ragged veteran, the reference material to build and improve their security programs. They present the essentials and represent the perfect example of what a desk reference guide should be; a collection and starting point for topics that all current and aspiring CISOs should know about. The content may not be the final word on many of these subjects, but it is a fantastic place readers can start to think about their own ideas regarding what the role of a CISO is. Where they take it from there is on them.

Completes the Set
The CISO Desk Reference Guide Volume 2 is a terrific book for CISOs, new, established or aspiring. I really love the three different perspectives for each topic. I enjoyed this approach in the CISO Desk Reference Guide Volume 1 and I’m glad the authors continued it in Volume 2. This book really compliments the first volume. The original provides an excellent framework for assessing your existing program or starting a new one, and in Volume 2 the three authors, Bonney, Hayslip and Stamper, provide an excellent roadmap for upgrading your program to world class. I recommend that you get both books in the set.

It’s okay
One thing that was not made clear when ordering was this vol 2 and you also need vol 1 to get the whole package .While there is a lot of information in this book. it is laid out in a confusing way. Its too easy to overlook the nuggets of good stuff buried in this book as each author takes his turn.It is far easier to do your own research using a search engine and other source materials to obtain the same research results.Major reorg of material is needed to clarify what’s in this series of book.

I have the pleasure of knowing two of the three ...
I have the pleasure of knowing two of the three authors, so I picked this up and promptly devoured it. It's not supposed to be read, I don't think, cover to cover; but that's what I did on a series of flights. The themes that come out cut to the heart of the matter, beyond the normal lists and the obvious subject matter, to what it takes to really put Risk at the center, to build the right relationships and influence and to excel as a CISO first-and-foremost. This should be on every CISO's desk and it should be well-thumbed and used!

First class
These books are first class for any CISO. Also, get volume 1. Keep them by your side for reference because you will find yourself referring to them time and again.
