CCSP (ISC)2 Certified Cloud Security Professional Official Study Guide

I used this book as my primary source and passed the exam !Definitely this book alone will not be enough to pass the exam. I also used CSA guidance 4.0 alongwith the official practice tests (1000 questions) to prepare for the exam. Make sure to also review the list of reference material listed on ISC2 website.The questions at the end of each chapter are too easy, however the 2 practice exams ( 450 questions) are good to prepare for the exam.

I bought this ebook since the title said it was an official study guide. In reality, the exam questions were far from the contents of this book. I have 2 primary issues with this title: a) CONTENT - I presume that the author comes a very deeply entrenched traditional infosec background and hence has innumerous references to issues with cloud security and has written the book from the perspective of a risk and compliance officer. This book should have been co-authored by a more seasoned cloud security expert who focuses on data, platform and application security. DO NOT rely completely on this book, if you are taking the exam. b) DELIVERY OF CONTENT: This book, supposedly, being readable on Kindle as well as the browser was a very big plus for me and purchased it without too much thought. I was using the book on my browser comfortably without any issues and was loving it. Suddenly, when my browser crashed in my linux machine, looks like some file got corrupted or got locked permanently. When I approached Amazon Kindle support, they told me that the book is not supported for browser and that can be read on Kindly only. If that was the case, I am wondering why did the title open up without any issues for more than a week and why it did not pop up an error the very first time itself. Just for reader's clarity, I started getting the error "Session limit reached" after the crash. Overall, since neither the content nor the delivery mechanism was trouble-free, I have provided a below-average rating.

I found this book very handy and full of needed information for prepairing my CCSP exam. Thanks for the loads of information and the simple and easy language.

Good if you want to do CCSP

Read it twice and used the online tests to prepare for the exam. It had 95% of the content needed for the exam. There are some glaring and humorous errors in the book most notably the authors think that the Euro is the currency in the UK and that the UK has already left the EU.

Lots of information here but even though upto date is misses a lot of the concepts in the exam by quite a margin. Test software good but again misses the type of questions in the exam.

This book flows are lot better than the CBK.Its a bit short, but i think that's fair as the CBK is just full of repetition and waffle.

I found that this book had a great introduction of the knowledge required for cloud computing security as well as the coverage of the exam to be an CCSP. Each chapter reiterates and expands the points in details.I particularly enjoy the Real World Scenarios provided, they illustrate the contents and make them easier to remember and picture what is actually going on in real life. Also, the flow of the book is pretty is easy to follow.

The book is okay and will help you to prepare for the CCSP, but make sure you have the requisite security knowledge. Access the support material online was a challenge (not well documented) but after many emails and time on the phone with Sybex, I managed to get access to it.
