First of all, these came so tangled up that I had to get my husband (who is WAY more patient than I) to untangle them. Took him half an hour.Then we found that the remote control doesn’t work at all, so that’s useless.And the worst thing about them is there’s no way to set them to stay on continuously!! There’s one setting that is continuous for about ten minutes, and then it flashes on and off once (or sometimes twice!) before staying on another ten minutes and flashing again... repeat. That flash every ten minutes is jarring and annoying. I wanted a soothing soft continuous light, but when it flashes, it makes me jump. That’s not soothing. The other settings are mostly hyper-flashing seizure-inducing types of settings. We finally settled on the setting where it slowly comes up and then slowly goes back down, but that kind of defeats my purpose of creating a little steady light in the room. But after all the trouble it was to untangle them and install 12 command hooks (not included) to hang them with, I’m not returning them.Lastly, they’re made of cheap clear acrylic, so they look fine from a distance but pretty cheesy close-up.I would not recommend them.

Bought 2. One seems to be fine but the other keeps blinking on and off periodically in steady mode. Very annoying and not sure if this is a safety issue or not (see others have had same problem). Sending that one back. Definitely a jumbled mess and a nightmare to untangle! Would help if each strand were packaged in its own plastic sheath! Almost returned it because after 20-30 minutes of working on it, still had an unimaginable tangled mess! Began believing it might be a hopeless effort! Remote didn’t work either! Turned out battery was dead. Sending back without my new battery! (Wish I had kept the old one for them!) Otherwise, nice looking when up — and properly working!!!

I bought two of them. One works better than the other. The stars are cheaply made and cheap-looking, but from afar, they are a-okay. I did not like the hooks addition. However, my biggest frustration is with the remote and its mode set up. In sum, mode set up does not work as described. Instead of having 8 modes (or whatever it was listed), on one of them there are only 3 modes:..lights are constantly on, very fast blinking and slower blinking with some dimming effect. The other one has 2 more options, but not much different from one another. Had it not been for the fact that I have already gone through untangling the wire-mess when they arrived and I have put them up, I would have returned them.

Overall, I really like these lights. They are beautiful and give the room great ambiance. BUT (behold the underlying truth!) I gave them one star because the manufacturer really has to address the packing. I read the reviews regarding the tangling but went ahead and ordered my first set. The first set I received wasn’t tangled that badly so I figured perseverance and attitude was the issue. Now I realize that the manufacturer must invest some time in ensuring that when their clients receive their product, they can actually be happy about using it! When your purchaser receives their product, they WANT to use it but spending an hour or more untangling is not what they signed up for.

These lights are beautiful, and the concept is great, and the remote would be handy. However, they do not function properly: when set on constant on mode, they run fine for about twenty minutes, then they randomly go on and off, and if you have them dimmed, they come back on full bright. Very annoying. I tried the advice given in the Q & A, but it didn't help. I gave up and returned them.

Received the lights today, timely delivered, NO complains. It is worthing buying. You need some patience and time untangling them. That is the ONLY little time consuming task. So try to untangle them when you have few extra minutes. It is NOT difficult, just needs time. If you try in a rush, you will get frustrated.

Once you get them untangled (that was a bit challenging for me), they are easy to hang and use. Trying to figure out and get the remote to work was a bit challenging for me, but that was probably more user error than anything. I think my husband really enjoyed them, because he kept plugging them in after Christmas until I finally took them down. I ordered heart-shaped ones to put up for Valentine's Day, because they really do add a nice ambiance.
