The story of Dunblane Football Club 1879-1914: Come away the Heather!

Being originally from Dunblane myself I knew that this book would interest me so purchased a copy. I knew Dunblane had a football team when back in the 19th century but I was unaware that they were fairly successful until I read this book. The author has done a brilliant job of researching so much information on Dunblane FC which must have been very hard to do. The book also gives a great insight into the difficulties of being an amateur team back when football first started in Scotland which is why so many clubs ended up folding. An excellent read and would recommend this book for any football supporter or even people that are just from Dunblane.
