Floortex Megamat® Extra Thick Chair Mat for Hard Floors & Carpets - 115 x 150cm

A grest size floor mat. Not cheap, but the best. Has not deteriorated over time and still lays flat. Im 97kg and the mat works just as well today as it did on day one. My only gripe would be that it does tend to travel a little under continued use, as there are no under mat grips for the carpet it it's on. It only takes a slight adjustment every now and then to rectify

I have cheaper versions of chair mats for my workstation, but they have not lasted the test of time, typically cracking over time. The Cleartex MegMat is clearly from a different stable. It comes in a rigid package and has the feel of class about it. It may be expensive, but so is the flooring, and I look forward to many years of use from it.

macht einen durchaus stabileren eindruck als mein erster versuch. sind im 3.ten versuch draufgekommen wo oben + unten ist, könnte besser kommuniziert werden. wichtig wäre auch der hinweis bei laminat: doppelseitiges klebeband zur fixirung einsetzen. beide seiten rutschen bei mir gefährlich knapp am sturz vorbei. grüße

This chair mat is exactly what I've been looking for as I'm a heavy person 250lb+ and within a year or so the normal mats start to cave and crack then my chair wheels are not rolling properly and I've even broken a wheel once so this mat promises not to cave, crack or get damaged. I can't wait to test it out over time. I know one thing for sure, this is the best gliding mat that I've ever had and my chair glides over it like it's skates on ice and I have to get use to not sliding right off as I don't have to put much leg energy into moving around now. Mine is on carpet and although it doesn't have the spikes to grip the carpet, I haven't notice much moving of the mat on the carpet so, so far so good.

Update: this lasted about 10 months before showing cracks where caster stress points are. I am using this on a medium pile carpet with thick padding. I weigh about 205 and have a very solid professional chair with dual casters. This mat does not dent, bend, or sag. My previous mat created divots all over its surface and eventually started cracking into many shards of hard vinyl. The only thing I regret is not buying a larger mat. The chair glides so effortlessly that you constantly roll off the edge of the mat and onto the carpet. For this same reason I find it tricky to maintain my seating position as the chair dances around the hard surface. Now It is evident I need casters with locking wheels...hehe. The mat has no grippers on the bottom and the mat will drift around the carpet. I have some non-skid foam material that may keep it in place with less positioning maintenance

Rock solid chair mat. Specs say it can hold up to 500 lbs. I was tired of the trying out cheaper $20-60 office supply chair mats since none could handle my current setup (Nightingale CXO + me) and almost all would cave to the weight and create "ruts". This mat is exactly what i was looking for - a chair mat on which my chair could actually roll. The underside is smooth (I have medium pile carpets but the mat doesn't fidget or slide probably due to the weight of my chair and friction). The top side is textured. The quality appears to be "buy it for life" and I don't anticipate I'll be needing to go shopping for another chair mat anytime soon unless I get a second office! Do be sure to know what your mat size needs are - this one is approx. 3 ft x 4 ft (rectangle, no extra tab at the front)

Bought 2 and put them under a 500 lb cabinet (called a Dreambox) I had to cut one edge on each mat to fit into a corner. Used s jigsaw with s plastic blade and slowed the cutting speed. Used a variable speed belt sander (220 grit) at slow speed and smoothed the cut edge. I was able to match the beveled edge finish pretty well. Mat is high quality and holds up to the heavy weight as the large doors on the Dreambox must open on wheels that swivel. Needed the mat because doors would not open on the bare carpet surface.
