Great For Short Term Use For Fighting Colds
Paractin is a patented standardized natural extract of Andrographis Paniculata.Andrographis is an adaptogen that in my experience is taken when you think you might be getting sick. You only take it short term. When I first learned about it over a decade ago, I went to my local health food store to get a bottle. Low & behold, it worked. The moment I thought I was getting sick, I took andrographis & felt better within a day or two. Ever since then, I keep it in my medicine cabinet along with other natural essentials. For the flu I make elderberry syrup & bone broth & take it along with andrographis, echinecea, zinc & vitamin C. These are all good for a cold too. While this may work for things other than immunity, I cannot say. I am not willing to take this every single day to find out. Taking this herb every single day like you would a multivitamin goes against everything I've ever learned about this herb, which has always been for short term use only. In my experience following an anti-inflammatory diet (I follow AIP which is a paleo version) works better than any supplement ever could. I was skeptical at first, but I cannot argue with the positive results since following the AIP.Bottom line, this works great for things like the common cold. It gets 5 stars for that. I will use this exactly like I have always used andrographis, when I feel I might be getting sick & then only for short term (5-7 days tops).

Easy to swallow. Seems to be helping.
You get 60 vegetarian capsules. You need to take 2 of these per day. I split them up, one in the morning with my breakfast, and one towards evening with my dinner. I love that is it lactose, soy, and corn free. As i take it now for a week or so i am not experiencing any stomach discomfort nor allergic reactions of any sort; swallowing the pills is also quite easy.I have quite a bit of inflammation on my knees. from overuse of sports and current sport activities such as running, basketball, and soccer. I tore my ACL and had an operation. I also tore my meniscus, and had that operated as well. My doctor mentions that i may have slight arthritis. But i cannot stop playing what i love. I can still move well and play well, however the next day is when i feel it badly.... inflammation and pain lasting for a few days.I have never heard of this supplement but i was excited to give it a try. And even the ingredients i never heard of. In all honesty, i feel like this is somewhat working. I feel like when i ran the other day and a different day played basketball, did not experience much pain the following day .. It is hard to say if supplements are working or not as it takes a long time to actually notice something, however it is nice to know, in the back of my mind, that i am taking something that was studied to help inflammation and pain. I hope my information helped. And i would recommend to give this product a try. Thank you.

While the emphasis is on joint flexibility, my need was an antiflamitory without stomach issues.
I went to the hospital emergency room and spent 3 days in intensive care last year from overuse of anti-inflammatory OTC drugs. When I had an arthritic knee looked at and told my story, the doctor said he was gonna prescribe anti-inflammatory drugs, but he said I just talked him out of it. He gave me a shot of cortisone instead. I still take baby aspirin to thin my blood, but if I have pain, I have to be cautions what I take. I can't say this made my joints more pliant, but I've had less reaction after food from histamine reactions, (coughing up phlegm). In that way I like it, my feet seem to have less pain walking too, so maybe it helps there as well. I found no upset stomach issues from taking it and it's a lot safer than the NSAIDs that got me in so much distress. Recommended.

May help
I usually avoid reviewing products like this because herbal supplements are so hard to evaluate. Some of them produce relief because of the placebo effect others take too long to produce results and many are a waste of money. The promotional blurb hooked me into trying these. My knees were inflamed and sore and my neck hurt. At first these seemed to work, but while taking them my back went out and my knees continue to be sore. So the pills are not a cure-all, but they may provide temporary relief. What works for one person might not work for another, so the only way to tell is to try them. Sorry for the lack of a definitive answer.

Contains Andrographis extract.
The active ingredient in this is Andrographis, an herb with a long history of use in medicine in India and souuthern Asia. According to WebMD, it might stimulate the immune system. It may improve the blood cell counts in people with HIV, and help with allergies.I’ve been trying it out while I have a cold and sinus infection. I don’t think it is helping. I’ll continue to try it to see if it helps with other discomforts. Herbs often take time to work. I’ve heard good things about Andrographis.I have not had any negative side effects. Some of the capsules had a strong herbal taste. The other ingredients seem harmless.

Possibly effective for joint pain
I returned from a recent trip overseas wherein I went on a multi day trek up and down a mountain. I had quite significant pain and stiffness in my left knee upon return. For about a week, I was actually concerned that I might have done myself a permanent injury. During this time, I started taking Paractin, one 300mg capsule at bedtime. I also took other anti-inflammatory herbal supplements like turmeric. A couple weeks later, my knee was back to normal and no pain. Now—did I just heal on my own? Maybe. Did the Paractin have a positive effect? Maybe. The clinical studies are modest. The placebo effect cannot be overestimated. Still, I think it is worth giving it a shot. Read up on some of the science and give it a try.

Noticing a reduction in my joints
I've been taking this for about a week and a half. I've been noticing a considerable reduction in my joint pain. I have a lot of inflammation in my body and push through it daily. I decided to give this a try, along with my exercise regimen. I can now sit for longer periods of time without getting sore, (usually my back and knees start to ache) and when I'm typing or using my wrists, they don't tire and get achey quite so much. I'm looking forward to using this for a longer period of time to see what happens. I'm liking the results so far. Feeling like a well oiled machine right now
