Lasts longer than white sponge, but doesnt clean effectively.
The white sponge does better filtration than the green one, but green lasts longer.The advantage of this green foam is, its hard and can be used many times after washing under running water. Whereas the white sponge usually sold in aquarium shops lasts only 2 to 3 washes. After that you have to throw the sponge. This green sponge however cannot trap fine dirt particles, hence the water quality does not improve much.If you dont have a very dirty aquarium you can use this sponge. It will be okay for you. For others, buy the white sponge. Thats the best for fine dirt particles.
