This is a well made, great looking costume.The different layers go together well and the fabric and stitching is pretty well done for a costume.It is a little heavy and warm but that suits Halloween in most areas.It really does look great, and my son loves it.A few notes:- It does not come with a sword or a shield.- The helmet is great and the mask that goes under it is pretty cool.- I was worried the size I got would be too big for my son and I almost went a size smaller, but it actually fit him about like a glove and he wouldn't have fit into a smaller size.Considering that most costumes today treat ninja and Samurai as interchangeable things, real Samurai costumes are hard to find. This one has the right idea, offering a suit of armor like a Samurai would have, and offering it in a pretty high quality package. I expect that this costume will have a long life as a toy costume after it concludes its Halloween service.Definitely recommended.

Son loved it! Great fit, very impressed with overall appearance, especially for the price

It is a good costume. It doesn't come with the swords but that's fine since we already have a ton of those. Our son is 13, almost 14, and wears a size 12. It was a little snug on his legs but overall fit great. (He is smaller then the "average" 13 year old, so if you have a "typical" 13 year old I would order a size up.) Nice detail, good fabric and colors. Our son loved it and wore it almost all weekend for our Halloween camping. It did last, unlike some of the other costumes he has that couldn't be worn another time.

After spending an embarrassing amount of time looking up Halloween costumes for my 11 yr old, I came across this on Amazon. He loves it! It has many detailed pieces that he has to put on one at a time (like a true samurai being armored), and his 8 yr old brother loves helping him put it on like a squire. Great quality. Would have been a steal at $30, so $49 isn’t bad. One piece of advice: the horns of the helmet and mask were bent from shipping. Don’t be discouraged. We just grabbed a blow dryer, heated up the pieces carefully, reshaped them, then ran them under cold water to lock it in place. Voila!

Wow this was a nice costume! Very well made and lots of details. My 12 year old son loved it! He's been a Ninja many times and he was excited to be a samauri.

it was a fantastic buy! This was probably the coolest costume our son has worn yet for Halloween. He received a lot of compliments. It fit perfectly and the pieces were all of nice quality. We had a time trying to find a good sword--a lot of accessories for ninjas, but not so much for samurai--but we were able to find something that complemented the costume well.

Missing the mask. I was so excited to get this for my son for Christmas but was surprised to find out it was missing the mask when the details state that it included it. My son is in love with samurai armor and I was disappointed that it didn’t have the mask. You could just feel and see his disappointment as well. The material is detailed and the sizing was fair but my son had already worn the costume so I don’t know if I can ask for a return or replacement.
