How can we be sure that it does not add any chemicals to it?

In the new pack it shows Cereals 82%, Pulses 12% and Nuts 2%. Rest 4% is probably preservatives, anti caking agents and other artificial compounds to ensure the product doesn't go bad. Let's face it, it is a processed product. If you want a guarantee that nothing artificial is added, you must make it at home. It's a price we pay for getting readymade stuff without taking the effort to grind all of them.
