I bought this for use in my car so I would be able to plug my phone in to charge while listening to music or talking on the phone over the car's auxiliary cable connection. From day 1, this did not work to transfer sound from a phone call - only for music audio. Because the device uses the same wire/port to transfer sound, this makes no sense.It lasted less than 4 months for music/charging and now when plugged in, it will stopping working without even touching the phone or adapter device.Unfortunately, Apple doesn't manufacture dual port adapters so we are stuck with this trash. I ordered a new one from a different seller but unfortunately I doubt I will have a different result.

I bought the product so I could listen to my music and charge my phone at the same time in my car. When I plug the splitter into my phone, it doesn't always register it is plugged in and so it constantly shuts my music off. Then when I went to plug in the charger too, it cancelled out my Aux cable and sent my stereo to the radio and wouldn't let me change it back until I unplugged the charger.Waste of money.

I use this to connect my iPhone XR to my aux in my car. It works perfectly for that. The only negative thing I can say is that it does not charge while playing through the aux, so if that's what you're after then shop elsewhere. As for me, I never cared about charging and playing at the same time so it doesn't bother me.

I really wanted this to work, but it snapped at the insertion point into my phone after a month of use. In addition, it had to be placed a certain way to not short out where the cord plugged into the headphone jack. Bummed for sure.

The sound quality was good when it worked properly. Had this for 5 months and now my phone says this device is not compatible when I go to use it even though when I bought the description said it was compatible with my iPhone. I didn’t do any updates to my phone either so it’s the not the phones programming. Another issue from day one is that you can’t take phone calls even when I used my apple iPhone headphones.

Headphone jack will not work for phone calls. Will work for listening to music but not phone. Was not a Prime purchase (my mistake), so it could not be returned.

I have an iPhone 8 Plus and hated the fact I couldn’t charge my phone and have earbuds at the same time. Glad to have this adaptor. Very handy and works great.

Spend a little more money and don't get this one. Yes, it charges and plays music. However, in my dance classes, I'd have to turn the volume on the speaker system down all the way anytime I'd stop playing music. It consistently creates a popping sound. No bueno.
