Live Animal Trap (Squirrels, Chipmunks and Rats) - Small

These traps will not work well for rats/chipmunks. It's very diificult to set the trap so the door shuts because of the light weight of the animals. The biggest problem is that every chipmunk that was caught, slips thru the opening(gap) between the door and the top of the trap. There's about an 1.25" gap, enough for them to get out. Some of the chipmunks were quite large, too. I watched it happen. I have not caught one animal yet. The trap has to be modified and that gap filled or blocked off somehow.

I bought 2 of them. Also bought a havahart trap of the same size. Have not caught a single squirrel or chipmunk in either of the ones I bought here. The havahart trap however has helped me trap and relocate 34 chipmunks to date. Both of the traps bought here have been tripped numerous times but there is never anything in them. Will sell them cheap next yard sale.

I laced the trap with peanut button on top of bread, and caught the squirrel who had eaten the soffit and siding of my roofline and was spending time running around in my attic. The trap worked right away, and I relocated the squirrel 10 miles away and haven't heard from him since :)

Well I received the trap, and caught a squirrel. That one squirrel destroyed the flimsy trip mesh wire plate, and the trip pole mechanism. Could not even use it again. Honestly I would not recommend this due to the POOR quality. I am going to try a different brand and hopefully have more than 1 use.

This trap is not for chipmunks or smaller rodents. There is a gap above the door approximately 1 1/2" high that the chipmunks use to exit the trap. After reading the reviews, I also had to modify the trap to make it work. It was bent slightly, and I fixed that so the door would close. Absolutely no instructions. The main issue is the gap above the door. This absolutely will not work for chipmunks, and it's marketed for being able to catch rodents that size and smaller. Don't waste your money on this one. Try another company and trap!.

Unit arrived in good shape. Arrived in a few days after ordering it. Worked and I was able to rid of my some of my unwanted guess.Good construction and should last for years. Ernie

The chipmunks will not go into this cage, waste of money, would like to return. Took me awhile to figure out how to use it , no instructions for dummy's

I was tired of those little pesky critters eating my fruits and vegetables, so I gave them a new home 1 mile away in my neighborhood. They got off lucky!
