Precise, strong and light weight!
This is a very sharp, very high quality saw that works for flush trimming, cutting tenon and small projects. The blade is incredibly strong. Get one and you won't regret it! Handle is tight and has no wobble. Highly recommend!

TLDR: just buy the darn saw already
Summary: if you hold a mirror up near your mouth and it fogs up - then buy this. If you think you might ever have to cut something in the next decade or two, or even if you don’t think you will (you will) - buy this. You’ll be trying to figure out how to make that small cut on that weird object, you’ll remember you have this saw, you’ll think to yourself “man I’m so glad I listened to that random Amazon review,” then you open up the Amazon app, find the product listing, scroll down, find this random review, let out a small singular laugh to yourself, and then you up-vote the review.Actual review: This is one of the products I had to go back and review just because it was so great. I bought this 3.5 years ago and have used it very heavily, and it still cuts like the day I got it.Works great on any wood, and any plastics I’ve come across (PVC, Nylon, PTFE, even PEEK and PVDF). Even cut rubber with it (though would not be my recommended method). It’s great for just about any fine cutting I need. Admittedly I use machinery (miter saw, table saw, router, etc) for most cuts, so I figured I wouldn’t use this much. I was wrong. I use it all the time, particularly for unusual shaped cuts.It leaves an ultra-fine finish and is very easy to cut straight and square. Could not ask for a better saw for only ~$30.

By FAR my favorite saw!
Please take a close look at the photo I attached. You will see a very straight and narrow cut in that piece of wood. That's maple, by the way. It's one of the harder woods to cut well. But this saw does something none other of my saws can do. It cuts quickly and cleanly through ANY wood I challenge it with! I have nothing negative to say about this hand saw. I even like the comfortable handle.Making tight joints with other saws, even the table saw, is always a challenge. Not with this saw. Its control and stability allow you to cut clean lines that fit tight every time, as long as your technique is good. It also cuts so fast that it makes the setup time on a table saw a true waste of your time. So, if you are looking for a saw that will give you those close, clean cuts we all are looking for, you need not search any further. This will do the job well! I will buy more of these saws in the future (other sizes, etc.). Happy cutting!(P.S. I have written plenty of other reviews and have given low marks on items that deserve it. This is not a commercial. I just really love this saw!)

Best handsaw I have ever used
I bought this second one as a gift to my son because I like mine so much. Like a backsaw in operation but very thin kerf and cuts as least as quickly as a regular crosscut with less effort. I am able to crosscut much more accurate 90 degrees on 2x4s with this than a regular crosscut. Prefer it to circular saw because it is relaxing, light, and set up is much easier for me. Cuts are very smooth, requiring much less sanding. The blade is very thin, but kept edge well and strong if used properly. (Pull stroke, don't force) Think razor blade. I loved my old Disstons but they got dull and I kept putting off sharpening them. Now I won't have to.

great dovetail saw
I purchased this because it is so similar to the Gyokucho 372 (which I love for dovetails). It is almost an exact replica except for the lower tooth count (17 TPI instead of 19 TPI). It cuts faster but still leaves a nice finish. This one is much easier to obtain and cost less. Very pleased with how it cuts. Just wish the handle had been higher quality, but this is not uncommon for Japanese saws.

Great in action!
Arrived in perfect condition and was immediately put to work and is really good for cutting angles and cutting small portions within woodworking. I highly recommend!

Not for Kumiko
Fantastic saw but too thick a kerf for kumiko. Best for carpentry
