BOSS Audio Systems R94 6 x 9 4 Way 500 Watt Car Door Speaker Pair

I bought these to replace my back speakers in my '02 Camry. I wanted something cheap but with some decent quality. Anything would be better than the paper factory speakers. I've delt with car stereo speakers, subs and amps for 18 years and normally I wouldn't buy something like Boss. I bought these along with some Infinity Reference 6x9's and those are in the front. For them being in the back and I normally fade a little to the front I figured these would give a better sound without pushing them to much. They sound much better than the stock speakers. They fit the aftermarket brackets which made the installation pretty easy. With a 12" sub in the trunk these also give off a little more high and mid level sound to help equal it with all the bass coming from the sub. So far I'm happy with this purchase. I would only caution to not go by what Boss tells you on the max wattage. The Infinity that I bought are 300 watt max and these are 500 watt. The Infinity has a much larger magnet and seem much better quality than the boss. The Infinity are $72 vs $30 for these. The Boss would probably not hold up to the 500 watts it claims. Boss amps and such are typically over-rated as well but if you choose to use these I would just install them as a replacment and not to or use caution if you hook them up to an external amp.

Good all around tone but still has overwhelming treble even with equalizer adjustments. Speaker is fairly thick compared to OEM speakers so do check your work dimensions. Best part of this item is the price; simply can't beat that price unless you find a smoking deal on Craigslist. However, it is still a budget speaker so I would not use this if you expect studio quality or want to win a bass contest. Would recommend for most uses.

As mentioned on other sites, Boss in their wisdom made this 3 way speaker and decided to pump up the price put a fake tweeter on the center mount and fool their customers. Stupid being most car audio enthusiasts are avid tinkerers and will find you out. I got these cheap, cheaper than the 3 ways so I am happy with the sound. I don't even know why these companies try and fool the consumer except greed. Just make a 3 way and charge a price accordingly.

Fit perfect in my Pathfinder front doors. Sound good to me but I'm quite deaf.

First off, these speakers were purchased through the warehouse deals for less than $13. They are loud and sound good. If I come across another low priced warehouse deal, I would buy these again. As you can see, from the pictures the top tweeter plate came lose and to my surprise noticed that one of the small tweeters isn't even wired. It's just for show. I point out the tiny tweeter and it's clear it's not wired at all. Maybe this is why they are called Riot, because they were laughing all the way to the bank. The designer thought it was hilarious to dupe the consumers into the idea of 4 way speakers. In reality, this is a 3 way. Again they sound good for what they are but don't expect high end quality. These are entry level speakers, better than OEM wizzer cone paper junk. I decided to disconnected the top plate and eliminate the 3rd tiny tweeters, that weren't even wired to work. Also removed the improper 3.3 capacitor from the large tweeter and added a 4.7, the same as the other speaker. It's currently a modified 2 way Riot, haha and sounds much better now. If you are interested in 4 way speakers I suggest DS18 Select 6x9 has a 5 way, which can be purchased on amazon for a little more money than these boss riots and sound better too.

I am sorry this is not something I would put in my car. 1 of speakers had no bass . I mean no bass what so ever. Just sad . So I am going for the pioneers, A name you can trust.

This speakers is very good the bass perfect and the twitters cool i install it on my 2016 Toyota Camry front door and i enjoy 😴😴

Usé estas bocinas en un Mustang 82 y la verdad es que se escucharon super bien, tengo un estéreo JVC que las aprovecha muy bien aunque para sacarle más provecho se necesita un amplificador. Las recomiendo por el precio que pagué ($600) aproximadamente. Tengo su Unboxing en YT por si gustan buscarlo.
