I’ve struggled getting my daughter engaged in books. With so many other possible activities (outdoors, magnet blocks, and electronic distractions), she just hasn’t had much interest in books. As a book lover, this makes me sad, so I’ve been on a quest to find books that will engage her. THIS IS IT! My daughter absolutely LOVES these books and wants to read them with me over and over. They are funny and interesting and just so much fun to read. I highly recommend these books, especially to engage reluctant early readers to the wonderful of books!

While working as a librarian, I discovered this charming book in the stacks and fell in love. I brought it home, read it aloud to my younger siblings, and we all agreed it was a marvelous storybook for all ages. Bink and Gollie's heartwarming adventures will gladden anyone, and the simplistic illustrations add much character to the tale. I highly recommend this as a read-a-loud to young children, a read-a-lone to elementary and middle grade readers, and a even pleasure for me - a young adult.

My son (K) and daughter (2nd) love these three books, they read them for at least 10 times. There are also cute pictures go with the words, which helps to understand.

I love Kate DiCamillio! I am a 5th grade teacher and am more familiar with her books for older children, but when my daughter was a 1st grader she adored Mercy Watson. I was pleased to find these whimsical and enticing stories for my 2 nd grade niece who is a reluctant reader. She read all 3 in a day and is planning to make it into a play with her friends. We were very pleased to find these stories and are eager for more!

Not quite up to DiCamillo's usual work but better than 95% of kids books out there! She's our favorite children's author. The Mercy Watson series awakened my kid's love for reading, and the whole family laughed out loud when he read in Baby and Eugenia's voices. My son was definitely able to read bank and gollie with no problem, but some of the jokes were a little bit over his head.

I love DiCamillo's books for young children. I wasn't as impressed with this series, but my daughters really liked it. I like that she uses big words and was worried that my daughters wouldn't grasp the vernacular but they had no problem and asked for more. I think they really enjoyed the illustrations.

Bought it for my 6 year old boy. He needed some help with the tougher words but loved all the books.

Hilarious and fun for kids and adults! My husband and I Crack up reading this to our kid. And she loved it before she turned 3, always wanting us to read it for her.

My daughter loves this series. Great buy for the whole set.
