Great photos, great stories, bad on Kindle
The Kindle Edition leaves a lot to be desired. It's mostly a picture book of Glen Denny's photos (which are amazing) but you get the feeling you're staring at postage stamps. You have to long-press every image and then hit the magnifying glass to see the zoomed in version. Amazon could have done a much better job with the Kindle app but they appear to have stopped making significant changes to it for the past year or so.

He said it is the best gift we've ever given him
I bought this book for my Uncle, who climbed Yosemite in the 60s. He has gone through the book multiple times. He said it is the best gift we've ever given him.

A Look Back at Special People in a Special Place
I loved the pics and people. I would have loved to understand more of how the philosophy of climbers shaped their future and ours.

Great short reaf
Great but short read... having been a climber in Camp 4 in the period between the Stone Masters of Bridwell and the Chouinard, Harding and Tm Herbert period, whom I consider my greatest influences. It's heart warming to read the stories I grew up hearing from the climbers of the 50s, 60s and 70s...

Absolutely the worst kindle experience ever
I can't say for the print version but the kindle version is basically a scam! You buy what you think is a pack of great pictures BUT what you end up with is a pack of 48x48px... You'll read 4 pages and wonder where and how you can get reimbursed.

Un libro fabuloso
Lleno de fotografías estupendas que para los amantes de la montaña resultan espectaculares. Muy curioso para ver cómo ha evolucionado este deporte en cuanto a materiales, por ejemplo.
