Candid and eye opening
I saw so much if myself in this book and it was so liberating to be told that I don't have to take care of everything. I appreciated Lisa being so candid because many of her struggles are struggles that I have. I have always viewed myself as a horrible Christian because I'm not perfect. This book has directed me in a completely different way of thinking. What really hit me was questioning myself how many times I have over extended myself to take care of things that were only temporary and not eternal. A must read for any woman struggling with trying to be perfect.

Seriously a great book to be kept on the nightstand for quick access.
I'm on the last chapter of this book. I stayed up late almost every night reading it. She gives great scripture references, cool stories about herself, and breaks it all down as to how to apply it all in your daily life. Although it was written a while back, it arrived right on time as God's tool to help me with identifying where my spiritual attacks are coming from and how easy it is to get rid of it. I also have her book 'Fight Like a Girl'. Through all her books, she knows how to strengthen the essence of how women are meant to be in the Eyes of God. We're humble, but not weak. Strong in living in God's Word, but not loudmouth gossipers with haughty eyes and showing no mercy to others. Fully embracing our role as a woman without overpressuring and fooling ourselves by stealing the roles that God gave to His sons.

Eye Opening!! Freeing
I adored reading this book in my quiet time, as a stay at home mother and baby sitter. Lisa did such a good job writing in a way that kept my attention, and yet I could walk away after 1 page and give my attention to my kiddos and really be able to meditate on what God had revealed to her.

Choosing Who is in control
This book really asks the difficult questions and lets you see for yourself who you are allowing to control your thoughts, actions and priorities. Highly recommend this book to anyone seriously wanting to put their life in His order and rediscover peace, joy and hope in that search.

and joy beyond the circumstances of life on earth
Since I would describe myself as a person who tends to be a control freak-worry wort, this book was written for me. I am seeking the Lord who promises us peace, contentment, and joy beyond the circumstances of life on earth. Lisa was there and has experienced the liberation of not having to control everyone and everything in her life. I have found all of the books I have read by Lisa Bevere to to be helpful in my quest to submit to the work which the Lord is doing in my heart.

Poorly written, author misses living a healthy journey
Book suggests forget about past traumas, and as a Social Worker, we know processing is needed in order to get through, to live a full life!

This book had been recommend by a lady in our church who is on a recovery after being healed from depression. I only started to read the first few chapters, but am already touched. This book will help to change your view on your relationship with God and help you understand yourself better. Am looking forward to the next chapters and to be 'out of control and loving it'.
