Camping? Outdoors enthusiasts? Dont leave home without this stuff!
I learned this product through my boyfriend who is now my husband 23 years ago. At the time he was a journeyman union iron worker, if you donโt know what they do for a living, he builds the office , the stadium and the bridges you drive over, and at the time he traveled for work. Ironworkers are tough. They play hard and work hard. And instead of buying a new pair of Leviโs every week he would patch hisLeviโs and in winter months when he was out on the 4 inch beams, 350 feet in the air with the wind in the snow added patches warmth to his legs to stay warmer during the day by the end of the year his Leviโs were half inch thick after thousands of washes after actually trying to rip the patches off my hand myself, it was virtually impossible This stuff has got more adhesion then if it were welded on steel.. that being a bonus and a negative. If you ever have to remove something, the only thing I would have to say that is a downfall about this product is that it is a little bit higher price point than Id ideally like to pay but with that being said itโs worth it weight in Gold . Second downfall coming from a womanโs perspective itโs very saturating. I would like to have a fabric glue that is just as strong as this, but not as saturating. You canโt put this on lace. Donโt even try some sheer curtains. Iโve ruined many dresses and drapes over the stuff itโs really meant for work clothes, canvas, leather saddle bags, carpet repair, but not for the girly things. If only they had a glue that was as strong as this stuff, but still dainty for womenโs materials, so itโs very saturating.. The stuff is great for household repairs, canvas, leather for carpet repairs, leather furniture, leather, saddle bags for motorcycle jacket canvas canvas tents, rugs, weโre closed for the hubby, any type of thicker material and repairs. It works really well for. Donโt put it on your little black dress with lace youโll ruin the dress. This is a glue for men and industrial or heavier material items. I guess us girls are just gonna have to stick to the needle and thread. I hide my bottle from my husband Iโd never have any of this stuff. lol

Critical review
So as far as I am concerned this is the best adhesive you can buy. You are supporting not only an American company you are also supporting a wonderful cause that helps people when you purchase this product. Works as it says for everything it will do I have nothing bad to say. Many reviews I have read that say it is not strong or didn't work. In these negative reviews look at how they used it and you can tell that some common sense might be lacking. I have used this on everything from sewing projects to a gasket adhesive and it works. It is stretchy and rubbery when fully cured. When fully cured it will not wash out of material in the washer and will survive a dryer. Wear nitrile gloves and have a wet washcloth when using this product to wipe away spills or excess. Application with a brush works or just use little drops where you need it. Keep it off your skin it is a pain to wash off. If you have a latex allergy be careful with this adhesive on your bare skin. Once this is cured which doesn't take long it is extremely strong. I sometimes cheat and use an iron or heat gun to speed things up. Temperatures over 70ยฐ or a hot summers day it will cure very fast. After 24 hours it is fully cured if you use a lot especially on a big patch job on a canvas tarp or something heavy duty. This is what I use to a lot to hold material in place for sewing. I wish they made this product in a aerosol can to spray onto materials. Works great for foam. Quilter's and upholstery shops should love using this product. Use sparingly a little bit goes a long way. After keep everything clean wipe top, wipe bottle, rinse/clean tip, and place a piece of plastic wrap underneath lid to keep the air out so it doesn't solidify in the bottle. As long as it doesn't freeze or solidify it should last a very long time. I haven't found another water based adhesive that is better.

The Miracle Menace
Expert tips you must know: I'm a Bish devotee. It does everything it says it will. It is simply fantastic when it comes to gluing fabric in 3 minutes or less - and it does not come unglued (if you use it correctly). It's been a lifesaver and it's also been Godzilla storming the city. It's a MONSTER in pure WHITE- it is very thin and it will drip on EVERYTHING - and you CANNOT , WILL NOT, *EVER* get the white stains of this glue off of anything you didn't mean for it to be on. It will soak through fabric and show on the other side. Paradoxically the glue will dry up easily and become the most amazing booger like glob if the bottle is not sealed immaculately, while at the same time if it ISN'T dried up you should not use the nozzle to dispense the glue- because allowing it to flow out of the bottle will destroy everything in its wake. It's simply too thin and runny to control. Heed this warning! Don't get complacent. I will always use Bish but I do so knowing I risk ruining whatever I'm working on or anything nearby if I try even the smallest shortcut. It really is a miracle monster. REMEMBER:This does not dry transparent, it dries bright white & does not come in any other color. โญI highly recommend the product and I highly recommend caution. Two tips: I use a 1 mm syringe to extract the glue from the bottom and apply it very sparingly under great control. Don't try to use it straight from the bottle! You can mix small amounts of India inks to change the color of the glue to match what you are glueing. It's tricky to mix it without spilling, but I find making it black is much less destructive if it drips. Good luck!

This stuff really works, even on tight leather.
I used Bish's Tear Mender to get a tight, near perfect fit on custom leather seat covers in my car. No seat cover is going to be perfect, but the fitment should be close enough that all you are dealing with is some minor looseness here and there. I used an upholstery needle (45 degree bezel) and syringe to insert the Tear Mender between the leather backing and the original cloth upholstery. The result was a near perfect fit on a Recaro-style seat with a very deep curve in the seating surfaces. The Tear Mender is VERY FORGIVING if you make mistakes (like not holding the needle securely in place while applying high pressure to the syringe, resulting in the needle flying off and adhesive squirting all over the seat). Fortunately, the Tear Mender doesn't adhere well to hard surfaces, so it just wipes away or peels off if it's dried. It also can be easily cleaned off the syringe, your fingers or any other non-porous surface. Also, a little seems to go a long way. I inserted the needle in a loose area, squirted about 1ML in between the fabrics and used a plastic spreader to both spread the adhesive and press the fabrics together. Holding the fabrics together about 10 seconds usually was sufficient to get it to adhere well. I love the fact that Tear Mender is very liquid yet it sticks fabrics together like crazy. I was worried that I'd not be able to find anything capable of being drawn into an upholstery syringe. But this was perfect for that. You can't draw the adhesive into the syringe with the needle attached, but I used a small 10ML cup and with the needle removed was able to draw the Tear Mender into the syringe easily. Then, simply attach the needle and go to work. It took about 4 ounces to completely treat one seat. I got a near perfect, custom reupholstered leather seat look at half the cost of a custom re-upholstery job. Great product!

Stains and bleeds through fabric!
Terrible. It leaves stains trhrough the fabric. Sadly after spending hours making Roman shades this glue almost ruined all my hard work... I was able to cover it but the glue left permanent color stains through the fabric and needed to order a diff fabric glue. And of course I ordered it a few months ago and now it's past the return window... so don't waste your money!

IT WORKS like a charm
This stuff is a miracle. If I could give it 10 stars I would. If bonds so well with fabric. We have been using it to patch our work denims when the knees wear through. Have also repaired the underside of a vintage comforter that I wasn't ready to give up. A little tip, when you are finished using it, store it upside down, that prevents it from drying out in the bottle.

WHAT IS THIS MAGIC?! The adhesive turns tacky on skin or hard surfaces, and can peel off easily, but strongly adheres fabric together better than any fabric glue, fusing, or Stitch Witchery, ive ever bought. If you mess up, a firm tug can pull the glued pieces apart, if it has been less than 15 minutes, but there will be glue residue remaining anywhere it was misapplied. I struggled to sew patches to an upholstered chair that had been damaged by cat scratching, and this did the trick. After a day, I tried picking at the edges to see if I could rip the patches off, but they didnt lift or budge. The cats have scratched them and they have not come off. The adhesive holds the 100% cotton denim to the suede excellently.
